Chapitre 271: Revealing the Scheme

When Fang Lin whispered that he thought someone was manipulating the auction, Wu Ling schooled his features to not give any signs of alarm at the news. Leaning in even closer to Fang Lin he turned his head just enough that he could survey the area. Thankfully, anyone close enough to overhear seemed fully engrossed in the auction though at least two people were making an obvious display of looking away from Wu Ling's apparent display of affection. 

"What do you think is happening?" Wu Ling asked in a quiet whisper. 

"I'm not sure," Fang Lin admitted. "Let me sketch for a moment," he said, pulling back from Wu Ling to take a long gulp of wine before returning to his slate. While he said he needed to sketch, what he really needed was a moment of distance from Wu Ling's enchanting figure and mesmerizing fragrance.
