Chapitre 54: Chapter 54 - The Journey
Volume 2 is officially out guys. I know some of you may be angry at the late update, but read all 4 chapters and you all will notice the differences.
I got my whole back covered with Sweat Rashes, due to which I was not able to sit on my Chair, thus working on the computer was not possible, and typing on the phone took some time.
And from here on out we are barely going to follow the Cannon.

After two days, Mu Wuji and the other 4 Envoys gathered their respective Geniuses and took them aboard their Aircraft.
Before they left with their Envoys for their Sects in the Shegzhou Continent, Luluo, Zhen Xu, Zuoqiu Qingyu, Li Chunjun, and even the not-so-familiar Ning Zhan had a big feast together with Zhou Yuan and Yao Yao.
It was mainly due to Zuoqiu Qingyu who insisted on having a feast before they split up in the Shengzhou Continent.
Zhou Yuan also treated Tuntun to a large meal as he had promised, so the Little Alpha Beast was very happy.
After having their feast and various conversations, the group of Geniuses from Cangman Continent Returned to their respective Aircraft.
Although Mu Wuji did not tell them how long it would take to reach the sect, Zhou Yuan speculated that they would reach in some 4-5 weeks.

High up in the sky.
The clouds were suddenly torn open as a giant shadow zoomed past. The shadow cleanly cut layer after layer of cloud into two, its speed as fast as a shooting star.

The boat was known as a Sky Breaker Shuttle.
It was a Genesis treasure used for rapid long-distance travelling and boasted extremely high speeds. In addition, it could withstand numerous natural elements, allowing it to travel freely
Once Zhou Yuan and Yao Yao returned they were called by Mu Wuji to the gathering of people where he gave everyone the basic Details of the Shengzhou Continent.
Apparently, the Shegzhou continent had nearly 60 % of the Genesis Qi of the whole Cangxuan Heaven gathering on it, which led to the rise of many outstanding and Talented Geniuses.
In addition, he also explained how becoming an Official Disciple of the Cangxuan Sect was more difficult than they thought. They would have to compete in the Sect's Outer mountains against thousand of other Geniuses from thousands of Different Continents who also have been selected by the other envoys. Only Ten thousand of the Disciples of the Outer Mountains would be admitted to the Inner Mountains after the Selection Process. Those not selected would have to participate in the Next Selection after which they would have only 2 tries before they are dismissed from the Sect.
The atmosphere in the room became much heavier in the wake of Mu Wuji's previous words. The other geniuses, including Xiao Tianxuan and the rest, had taunt expressions, uncertainty coloring their eyes.
They were indeed the cream of the crop amongst the Cangmang Continent's younger generation, but the ones they were up against now were also elites in their respective continents. Their competitors would likely even include the Shengzhou Continent's finest…
They had left the Cangmang Continent for what they viewed in their hearts as the holy land of cultivation, their families and clans placing all their hopes upon them. If they failed to become formal disciples, it would be a huge blow to their confidence.
Mu Wuji swept a look at the group but did not say anything to console them. The Cangxuan Sect's standards were exceedingly strict, and not just anyone could become a formal disciple. In between, there were naturally those who ended up laughing, and those who ended up in tears.
"When you guys reach the Cangxuan Sect, all of the new disciples will be divided into categories; first class disciples, second class disciples, and third class disciples…"
"Is there a difference?"
Someone from a group of people asked.
"Of course, there's a difference." Mu Wuji chuckled. "First-class disciples will not only be given their dwellings but even have a Genesis Rune boundary inscribed in the area, making the Genesis Qi more abundant and concentrated, far surpassing the dwellings of the other disciples. Staying in such a place will naturally bring many benefits."
"In addition, first-class disciples will be granted a bag of grade 5 Genesis Food, Heaven Heart Body Tempering Corn, by the sect every week. For him to acquire resources he would have to show his value to the higher-ups of the Cangxuan Sect, meaning his strength and talent.
Also, the Sealed Saint Genesis Peak has a load of resources that he will be able to access once he opens it.
But all of this would have to wait till he enters the inner mountain.
So what would he do in the Outer Mountains to gain sufficient resources without working for them, he sure as hell wasn't going to teach some little ungrateful brats just for some genesis Crystal, he had an image to uphold, and he would like to spend time with Yao Yao instead of opening up an Open-Air-Institute.
So how do you gain Genesis Crystal in a large amount in the Outer Mountains?
Suddenly Zhou Yuan smiled like a Cheshire cat.
Yao Yao who was beside him wryly shook her head.
Zhou Yuan probably found a new way to loot people.
But still, she did not question him, one may ask why.
Well for Yao Yao only the well-being of a few people truly mattered to her, she would probably not even bat an eye if everybody except them died, and Zhou Yuan is the person she loves so one can imagine just how much of a filter vision she has for him.
This is a part of Zhou Yuan which makes him what he is, and she loves Zhou Yuan for who he is.
And lastly, even these actions of his had a certain charm that others did not have.
Mu Wuji was all smiles as he looked towards the group, his gaze ultimately pausing on Yaoyao and Zhou Yuan. "However, I'm afraid that the only amongst you guys only Zhou Yuan and Yao Yao can be rated as first-class disciples.."
There was no need to say anything about Zhou Yuan, he was a 1st layer Alpha Origin Realm and a Intermediate-Corporeal Realm Spirit, and although Yao Yao had no Genesis Qi she also had the Spirit Cultivation of Intermediate-Corporeal Realm.
Immediately the other disciples cast over their envious gazes at Zhou Yuan and Yao Yao.
"All right Little brats, there is no use in being envious of them, practice and polish your cultivation till we reach the sect. Everyone will enjoy the benefits brought on by their own abilities, you can't rely on others too much."

Time swiftly flowed as they traveled, and a month unknowingly passed.
On a certain day.
In one of the holding quarters of the ship, Zhou Yuan's shut eyes suddenly opened, breaking him out of his cultivation state. He had suddenly sensed some strange activity in the surrounding Genesis Qi which seemed to be stirring violently.
Zhou Yuan's eyes fluttered open.
He calmly breathed in and out as he thought about the past month.
He had broken through the 2nd layer of the Alpha Origin Realm. Others would have rushed to improve their cultivation more, but Zhou Yuan focused more on the consolidation aspect.
The Genesis Qi stars in his Qi Dwelling further increased.
He now had 1569 stars in his Qi Dwelling, and his 2nd Layer was only halfway through which meant that the Genesis Qi stars in his Qi Dwelling would further increase even before his breakthrough to the 3rd layer.
An Average Genius would have approximately this amount of Genesis Qi stars when they reached the 6th layer of Alpha Origin Realm.
Zhou knew that every small improvement in his Foundation would bring about huge results in the later stages of Cultivation. He compressed and further refined his existing Genesis Qi with the help of Sacred Dragon Qi and Dragon Resentment Poison.
Compression of Genesis Qi was an important part as the Quality of his existing Genesis Qi was further improved.
If a person of a higher cultivation were to look at Zhou Yuan's Genesis Qi they would undoubtedly be very surprised due to the sense of harmony it gave off and its purity.
The sense of harmony was surprising as it contained both Malvaloence and Sacredness, which in itself is very contradictory.
Zhou Yuan already has Genesis Qi of Grade 7, which was hardly found in the Cangxuan heaven.
He also continued his practicing the Chaos Visualization Method, which revitalized him at the end of the day.
In his free time he was with Yao Yao, drinking different wines and talking about abstract things.
For Zhou Yuan, his time with Yao Yao was the only time of the day when he could truly relax without having any urge to practice and train.
He had a slight paranoia of being assassinated in his sleep due to all the novels he had read in the past. So there were many fewer instances where he let his guard down.
Zhou Yuan had rarely slept in this past year as he would just meditate and practice through the spirit tempering method, so the only time where he could let all his guard down and relax was when he was around her. Also as his Cultivation increased his need to sleep was decreasing.
One day he slept with his head in Yao Yao's lap, yes you heard it guys a Lap Pillow.
He who did not get a Lap pillow even in his previous life was now enjoying a lap pillow from a literal goddess. (I am Feeling very jealous/envious even while writing this)
In the past month, he had gotten many Lap pillows from Yao Yao where she would also groom his hair.
Sometimes she would also complain about how soft his hair was even when compared to hers.
He had joked about cutting of his hair but was met with a glare from her, which screamed 'How could you even think about it?'.
They also had various discussions and teaching sessions on Genesis Runes which she found from the Gu Clan.
In their free time, Zhou Yuan would also groom her hair, and Yao Yao appreciated them very much if her reactions were anything to go by.
Little Tuntun would also be with them, Zhou Yuan just fed him various delicacies he had bought before boarding the Skybreaker shuttle which kept the little beast very busy.
Tuntun also guarded the place where Zhou Yuan and Yao Yao would sit around so other people would not intrude on their invaluable personal time.
Just as Zhou Yuan was about to return to meditation he heard numerous cheers outside the room.
Zhou Yuan opened the windows and looked outside. The thick layers of clouds were being torn apart as an extremely distant land began to appear.
He could sense an extremely concentrated and boundless natural Genesis Qi filling the sky above the land.
Its concentration level far surpassed that of any continent Zhou Yuan had visited before.
In addition, the Genesis Qi seemed to slip between various forms and shapes, giving off a spontaneously unique feeling, as if it was a blessing and right belonging only to them.
Zhou Yuan's body trembled a little as he realized just how much it would benefit his cultivation if he cultivated in such an environment.
"It seems that the Shegzhou Continent truly deserves to be the overlord of the Cangxuan Heaven, with this type of environment and the 60% of the Genesis Qi of a whole Heaven being concentrated on a single continent, even if two people had similar talent, the one who trained here would achieve far more than the one in any other continent."
In a certain sense, the entire Shengzhou Continent was basically an indescribably enormous cultivation paradise…

The little fatty was called Shen Wanjin and was also one of the geniuses from the Cangmang Continent. His Shen clan was an overlord of its domain, equipped with wealth that could match entire empires.
Of course, this did not mean the little fatty was weak, or he would not have been selected by Mu Wuji.
Ever since Mu Wuji's warning, the Cangmang geniuses had understood that their previous status in their homeland would no longer be valid in the Shengzhou Continent, making them extremely ordinary instead.
In fact, they may not even be able to become formal disciples of the Cangxuan Sect.

Zhou Yuan was not the person who returned kindness and help with malice or hostility.
Since Fatty was able to shed his pride of a genius away and become a little subordinate of his then Zhou Yuan had no problem looking out for him.
While the two talked, they soon arrived at the head of the ship, only to find Mu Wuji seated at the very front, while Yaoyao, Xiao Tianxuan, and the rest had already arrived.
Upon seeing Zhou Yuan walk over, the other geniuses cast friendly gazes towards him. They knew that he would definitely become a first-class disciple due to his own strength, making his status higher than their own. Hence, they needed to create good relations with him as soon as possible.
However, they were evidently unable to be as straightforward as Shen Wanjin, instead still holding on to some of the aloofness from before.
Due to this Zhou Yuan did not display any happiness in response to their friendly gazes, his expression was calm and cool from start to end as he replied to everyone with a faint smile. In the end, he walked to Yao Yao's side.
"Big sis Yaoyao!" Shen Wanjin seemed to bow and scrape in an exaggerated manner.
Yaoyao glanced at him and gave a faint nod.
Besides blindly following Zhou Yuan over this period, Shen Wanjin also engaged in his 'favorable impression' attack on Yao Yao. His strategy, attack through her likes.

After speaking, Mu Wuji closed his eyes to rest, while the others seated themselves in silence. Half a day passed, and a tremor was suddenly felt. They had finally entered the Shengzhou Continent.
Mu Wuji stood up and gave his pipe a shake, causing green smoke to rise. The smoke transformed into a several dozen-foot-wide cloud that floated outside the boat.
"Let's go."
Mu Wuji moved, appearing on the green cloud.
Zhou Yuan, Yaoyao, and the rest also got onto the cloud one after another.
Mu Wuji gave his pipe a tap and the green cloud ferrying everyone shot forth, disappearing into the horizon in a mere few breaths.
On the cloud, Zhou Yuan's eyes narrowed slightly, joy, anticipation, and excitement surging out within them.
