I just finished reading the latest chapter. I gotta say, this novel is a total gem. There aren't many Yuan Zun novels out there, but this one is pure gold. I love how the story moves forward. I do hope the author can step up the romance scenes though. Especially with Yaoyao. Youwei's romance is on point. Anyway, don’t mind me. It’s your fic, so it's up to you how you write it.

In first few chapters there was not much change from the original but after that there many small changes.The big change is he broke the limit of qi nourishing stage and his soul cultivation is also way stronger than original.

I feel that the author is copying whole lines from the original novel to save time. But sometimes he forgets the changes he himself made to the story. That makes it very confusing at times. That said, that's my only problem. Overall I liked the story quite a bit and the author is clearly not afraid to make changes to the canon, although he is cautious about it.
