Chapitre 8: Make way! Future strongest Sorcerer Inbound
"Welcome to Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College boys, from now until you graduate you will be living here, where you will train to become bonafide sorcerers of your own!"
After Gojo's overly enthusiastic Introduction I look around taking In the beautiful sight, uncorrupted greenery everywhere with some man-made structures, lush trees, and shrubbery making the place look more fantastical and ancient as If It's a different world separated from the outside, where pollution roams free and machinery Is all one can see.
I take a deep breath, enriching my lungs In the seasonings of beautiful mother nature' fresh untainted oxygen. "Man, this place Is so beautiful I feel like I can just live In peace here forever, away from all worries." Meanwhile, Itadori Is confused "Sensei are you sure we're In Tokyo? This doesn't look like It..."
"Huhhhh? Of course, this Is In Tokyo just on the outskirts. In truth, this place Is disguised as some elite private religious school to keep the public eye off us." After the explanation and brief pause to take In the magnificent views, we headed off towards the school getting given our keys for our assigned dorm rooms.
Entering my new abode my eyes flicker with amazement as this single room was at least three times the size of my old apartment room. I walked around the room Identifying the layout and deciding where I should set up my Items. First thing In order was putting my model posters, alongside setting up my recreational Items at the desk next to my bed which surprisingly had a computer. 'Wow, they really went all out with these rooms.' A smile crept up on my face thinking to myself that life here wouldn't be so bad.
Finishing with my room I head outside to familiarise myself with school and funnily enough, Itadori was only one door away from me whilst Megumi was three away. I think to myself a little before deciding to go by myself and most importantly start planning some sort of training schedule. The school wasn't as big as It had seemed from the outside there was only one main area for classes alongside a cafeteria whilst the building next to It was the library, something I was looking forward to after all a wise old man once said 'Knowledge Is power'.
Walking around the other areas In the school such as the various training grounds and the gym I head back towards the library coming across absolutely no one which surprised me at first but after further thought I guess It made sense. After all, with someone like Gojo around I doubt many would be able to even try anything let alone the hidden countermeasures Also, I doubt most need these resources since most sorceres come from clans and It'd be surprising If their records were any worse than these.
Stepping Inside, I felt a change In my surroundings as If I was being watched at all times and to be honest It completely freaked me out, I mean who would enjoy being constantly stared at? This was different than cameras as they were subtle but this? I could tell that my every movement was being scrutinized by whatever moderator or protector hiding here.
Trying hard to Ignore the discomfort I stroll around the library skimming through countless titles hoping to locate something that would help Introduce me to the supernatural and help bring me up to speed about this treacherous and dark world. Looking around, my eyes stop on a book titled 'Sorcerery for Dummies' which pissed me off a little despite the honesty behind the work, I grab the book and blow off the copious amounts of dust on It and begin reading through. 'So Cursed Energy Is a power source that stems from negative emotions which both sorcerers and cursed spirits alike use to fuel their Cursed Technique.'
'Meanwhile, If Cursed Energy Is to be compared to electricity then Cursed Techniques are the appliances that use that power In order to function. As well as Cursed Energy Is processed through a procedure akin to a mathematical formula within the user to activate a Cursed Technique.'
"How very Interesting, so this Is how sorcerers and curses can use supernatural abilities to battle each other. I wonder If there's a method to know whether or not I have a Technique or not, hmm." Putting the back on the shelf I continue looking around trying to find out a way to figure out If I have a Cursed Technique or not.
However, I ended up getting distracted by a book titled 'Techniques of the Great Clans' recalling what Gojo-Sensei had said on the way here about Megumi's hereditary Technique. Opening the book I find texts describing the current clans namely the Zen'in, Gojo, and Kamo.
The Zen'in clans' hereditary technique Is called the Ten Shadows, once dominated the Shikigami would be under the control of the user which they can summon them through shadowgraphic hand signs and can control up to ten Shikigami. 'Hmm.. I doubt that's all the technique can do otherwise Gojo-Sensei wouldn't have hyped It up so much.. moving on, the next clan Is Gojo-Sensei's.
There Is also another technique within that clan called Projection Sorcery In which users can split their movements Into 24 frames allowing for greater mobility and by touching someone they can apply the same rules for the victim. However, failing to comply with the rules of 24 frames causes either the victim or the user to pause for a second allowing either one to punish the other.
The text stated that the Gojo clan Isn't particularly strong In general, the reason for their high standing Is due to the hereditary technique which can only be possessed by one person, and said person must die for another to Inherit along with their special bloodline limit. The limitless technique Is stated to be one of the strongest techniques due to being neigh Invulnerable and having other strong abilities however, It can only be used by a holder of the Six Eyes reasons for which are unknown.
"I see so Gojo-Sensei must be the current possessor of both the limitless and the Six Eyes. So he wasn't lying when he really said he was the strongest, dude was born under the luckiest star to exist, he must've at least saved a couple of planets In his past life to accumulate that much luck, I'm kinda jealous."
Last but not least Is the Kamo clan. They also aren't a very powerful clan and possess the hereditary technique of blood manipulation. Alone It isn't very strong as continuous use could lead to severe blood loss meaning most members have to carry packs of blood. Although, along with the use of the Reverse Cursed Technique, It Is quite powerful. 'Reverse Cursed Technique? I wonder what that Is.'
Closing the book I delve back In my search for more textbooks. Finding a couple on how to Improve control over my cursed energy output, some about the general history of sorcerers, and others for some more relative Information. Sadly, none mentioned how I could discover my cursed technique apart from them manifesting at the ages of 4-6.
Taking the books, I walked out of the library with slight trepidation worrying that the observers might think I was stealing but to my surprise, nothing happened. 'They probably don't care as long as the books are back eventually. And without damage.'
I side-track towards the cafeteria buying some cold lunch before returning to my room eating In silence and preparing for a night of hard studying, thinking to myself. 'Hmph, so what If you have techniques I'll just work thrice as hard and catch up... eventually...'
*A/N: I'd like to apologise to beeswax_simulator2, I replied saying I'd post a chapter ASAP yet ended up going out and procrastinating... and for the endless yap in this chapter.
The next couple of chapters will be the start of the training arc and introducing Nobara into the group. Events will follow the plot until the Tokyo and Kyoto exchange after that I'm gonna derail and just like Miles Morales did, Imma do my own thing as well so be prepared!!
