"Don't talk nonsense!" Yugao's face instantly turned red, and she ran off with the tray in hand. Watching her leave, Shishou chuckled. Although he and Yugao had not explicitly defined their relationship, he had taken full advantage of their closeness, lacking only the final step. However, he preferred feelings to develop naturally, so he was in no rush.
Thinking about this, Shishou turned to Uchiha Izumi and asked, "How are you feeling?"
Izumi shrugged and replied, "Not much different, just a bit tired. The Mangekyo Sharingan puts a lot of strain on my body."
Hearing this, Shishou sat beside Izumi, took her hand, and used Phosphorescent Insects to infuse her with energy.
"That's much better now," Izumi said, smiling sweetly and clinging to him. "Did Aunt Mikoto also awaken her eyes?"
"She did, but it wasn't as smooth as yours. It took a lot of effort," Shishou replied.
"You knew Itachi was going to Konoha, so you did it on purpose today?"
"Yes."
"To help me and Aunt Mikoto awaken our eyes?"
"Exactly. I initially thought Mikoto would awaken, but she didn't, and you did."
"I saw an illusion, didn't I?"
"Not exactly. If I hadn't intervened back then, that would have been your fate."
"Shishou," Izumi said, looking at him intently.
"What's up?" he asked, puzzled.
"You're the best!" Izumi suddenly kissed Shishou.
"Stop, Mikoto is right here," he said, trying to pull away.
"Hehe, you've wanted to do this for a long time, haven't you?" she teased.
"Who said that?"
"Aunt Mikoto," she replied.
"...Don't talk nonsense."
"Just say if you want to or not."
"..."
...
The next morning, Shishou got up on time. On the bed behind him, Mikoto and Izumi slept soundly. After his battle with Izumi the previous night, Mikoto had woken up. Upon learning that Sasuke was alive and seeing him with her own eyes, Mikoto finally felt at ease. Knowing that Shishou had left on purpose yesterday, she angrily joined Izumi in attacking Shishou but was ultimately defeated by him.
Returning to Konoha, Shishou quietly checked on Sasuke and found him lying on his bed, dazed. He had cast a genjutsu on Sasuke, making him believe everything that happened was a dream, causing him to be confused about reality and dreams.
After scouting around Konoha, Shishou found no news about Itachi's return to the village. "Looks like Kurenai didn't report yesterday's incident," he thought. "Is it because of me?" With these thoughts, Shishou headed to Kurenai's house.
Curiously observing the layout of her home, he used the Flying Thunder God mark to slowly approach Kurenai's location. "What are you doing here?" Kurenai, just out of the bath, was startled to see Shishou. She clutched her bathrobe, blushing.
"Why were you in the Uchiha district yesterday?" Shishou asked, eyeing her curiously. Kurenai had an excellent figure and ample assets, making her very attractive. Of course, if she were more mature and voluptuous like Tsunade, she would be even more to his liking.
"It's none of your business," Kurenai said, pouting and walking away. She didn't want Shishou to know she had been waiting for him yesterday. Since he had forgotten their end-of-the-month agreement, there was no point in bringing it up, which would only make her feel more embarrassed and humble.
Thinking about the approaching date when Tsunade would return as the Third Hokage had promised, Kurenai stopped and said to Shishou from a distance, "Please don't appear before me again. I never want to see you."
With that, she walked away.
"If you don't want to see me, why are you crying?" Shishou muttered, puzzled by the feedback from his Phosphorescent Insects. He then disappeared.
...
For the next few days, Shishou stayed in Fire Source City, sparring with Mikoto, Anko, and the others. Yugao, embarrassed by Izumi's teasing, avoided Shishou and didn't appear much in front of him.
Once Mikoto and Izumi fully adapted to their Mangekyo Sharingan, Shishou learned about their abilities. Izumi's Mangekyo Sharingan ability was called Kagutsuchi. In the original work, one of Sasuke's techniques with Amaterasu was named this.
Kagutsuchi is the god of fire in the ninja world, controlling the power of flames. Izumi's Mangekyo ability, Kagutsuchi, had two skills:
Left Eye - Kagutsuchi: Fire God: Enhances the temperature and range of flames, the stronger the ocular power, the greater the enhancement.
Right Eye - Kagutsuchi: Fire Spirit: Transforms the body into a flame spirit for a period, immune to all physical attacks.
"Impressive, right?" Izumi said proudly one morning, hugging Shishou.
"Very impressive," Shishou praised, giving a thumbs-up. Izumi's fire release techniques were already formidable, and with the Mangekyo's boost, she could become a being like a fire god. Additionally, the Fire Spirit ability, akin to element transformation, granted immunity to physical attacks. Izumi's strength now was at a high Kage level.
The Sharingan indeed lived up to its name as the eye that reflects the soul, with each person's Mangekyo ability perfectly matching its host. For example, Shisui, known as the strongest illusionist, awakened the ultimate genjutsu, Kotoamatsukami. Itachi, with his high talent in fire release and genjutsu, awakened Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu. Even the weakest Uchiha, Obito, awakened the broken ability - Kamui!
Shishou's awakened Totsuka no Tsurugi was also a perfect fit for his insect techniques, significantly reducing their growth time. The ability to shrink and enlarge was also incredibly useful, making it his second golden finger.
Thinking of this, Shishou turned to Mikoto and asked curiously, "Mikoto, what's your Mangekyo ability?"
To be honest, Mikoto's talent was quite average, and her water release abilities weren't outstanding either, so Shishou couldn't guess what her ability would be.
Hearing this, Izumi also looked at Mikoto with curiosity. Feeling their gazes, Mikoto clutched the blanket around her body, blushing. The current scene with the three of them still made her a bit uncomfortable. After thinking for a moment, Mikoto said, "My ability is called Totsuka no Tsurugi."
