Chapter 66: "Drink Hers..."
"Why do you look like this?" Tsunade and Mei Terumi both exclaimed, noticing Shishou's change in appearance.
Shishou glanced down and realized his body had shrunk significantly, reverting from his tall, muscular form to his natural height of around 1.5 meters. He understood that the strain from using his abilities had caused his transformation to wear off.
Understanding their confusion, Shishou decided to play along, glaring at them menacingly. "Now that you've seen my true form," he said, "I can't let you leave here alive..."
Tsunade was momentarily taken aback but quickly realized he was joking. If he intended harm, he wouldn't have saved Shizune. Mei, however, was less amused and reached up to rip off Shishou's fake beard.
"This beard was really getting in the way," Mei remarked, her eyes sparkling. She preferred the younger, more handsome version of Shishou, which gave her a sense of nurturing him.
"Come on, call me sister," Mei teased, pinching Shishou's cheek playfully.
Slapping her hand away, Shishou retorted, "Sister? Why not ask me to call you mom?"
Mei was taken aback for a moment before grinning mischievously. "Even better! Come on, call me mom."
Shishou rolled his eyes and smirked. "Mom, I want some milk!"
The instant the words left his mouth, Mei's face turned crimson. She was at a loss for words and felt a sudden rush of embarrassment.
Seeing Shishou's amused expression, Mei panicked and glanced at Tsunade's prominent chest. "Hers are bigger than mine," she blurted out. "You can drink hers..."
Tsunade blushed deeply, crossing her arms over her chest in an attempt to hide her assets. The motion only served to accentuate her already ample bosom.
"Alright, that's enough," Shishou said, coughing to break the awkward silence. He shot Mei a warning look. "Don't say such things."
Leaving the wooden sphere, Shishou gave Tsunade and Mei a moment to collect themselves. The future Fifth Hokage and the current Fifth Mizukage, both impressive in their own ways, were left to silently assess each other.
Returning to the centipede's tail, Shishou retrieved his Kusanagi sword from a scroll. With a swift motion, he severed the damaged portion of the centipede's tail, which had been pierced by Kakuzu. The centipede's shell retracted to stop the bleeding, and Shishou used his Phosphorescent Insects to consume the severed tail section, replenishing his energy.
Reentering the wooden sphere, Shishou resumed treating Shizune. His energy was nearly depleted, and he needed to recover before he could continue. The centipede served multiple purposes: it was his battle pet, transportation, shield, and emergency food supply.
With Shizune's condition stabilized, Shishou turned to Mei. "What do you plan to do with him?" he asked, pointing to the unconscious Fourth Mizukage, Yagura.
Mei was astonished. Shishou had managed to fend off multiple high-level enemies and still had the strength to capture the Three-Tails Jinchuriki. Just how powerful was he?
"Thank you so much," Mei said, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "As a token of my gratitude, let me give you a kiss."
She moved to embrace Shishou, who quickly put his hand up to stop her. "Are you really thankful, or just trying to take advantage of me?"
Mei pouted but released him. "Fine," she said, curiosity evident in her voice. "How did you manage to capture the Three-Tails?"
Before Shishou could respond, Tsunade, who had joined them on the centipede's back, pointed towards the valley. "Look over there."
Following Tsunade's finger, Mei saw a forest that had sprung up where there was once a barren valley. The trees reached heights of fifty to one hundred meters.
"That's my grandfather, Hashirama Senju's, ultimate Wood Release technique," Tsunade explained. "The Birth of the World of Trees. With this, even a tailed beast would be subdued."
Mei was shocked. "You mean Shishou did this?"
Tsunade glanced at Shishou but said nothing.
"I did," Shishou confirmed with a nod. "Though I had to borrow some of the Three-Tails' chakra to manage it. Normally, I couldn't perform such a large-scale jutsu."
Shishou then turned to Mei. "Kirigakure's forces will probably arrive soon. You should take the Fourth Mizukage back. I need to find proper medical treatment for Shizune."
Having found Tsunade, Shishou's mission in Kirigakure was complete. His priority now was to ensure Shizune's recovery.
Mei, still impressed by the forest and Shishou's strength, agreed. "That's still incredible."
"Squat down," Shishou instructed.
"Why?" Mei asked, complying with his request.
With Mei at his height, Shishou cupped her face and kissed her forehead. "I'll come back to see you soon," he promised, smiling.
Blushing deeply, Mei's heart raced. "Okay," she whispered.
Watching the exchange, Tsunade discreetly returned to the wooden sphere. Shishou then dismissed his summoning and used Flying Thunder God to transport Tsunade and Shizune to the Land of Demons' palace. He needed Uzumaki Eri to continue Shizune's treatment.
As Shishou and the others vanished, Mei touched the spot on her forehead where Shishou had kissed her, smiling softly. "So, you like to be in control, huh?" she mused. "I think I like that too."
