Chapitre 9: DOING A GOOD JOB
"She should be expelled from the school!" Nico stood up and so did Daniel, both men were ready for confrontation.
PRANG!!!
All of them immediately clamped their mouth, shock was apparent on their faces when the chandelier in the middle of the room fell to the floor, shattering into a hundred of pieces.
Silence ensued the room. There was no way the chandelier would fall like that all of sudden.
This almost like a warning.

The silence was very strong, as everyone watched how the chandelier fell to the solid floor and shattered into hundred of pieces.
'What is going on? How can a chandelier that big fell to the floor?' Hope was stunned, as she was hidden behind Daniel, while her older brother was in protective stance.
"What… what happened?" Garnet stuttered, she clutched onto her husband clothes and held Liam's hand tightly. "What is going on here…" her face was blanched.
Right at that time, there was a ringing phone from the headmaster, which made Garnet and Daniel jumped in surprised.
The headmaster immediately looked at his phone and his expression changed immediately, as he answered the call.
"Yes… I understood. Yes…" He looked panic and layer of sweat formed on his forehead, as he answered whoever called him at time like this with so much politeness.
The headmaster even bowed his body slightly, as he replied, as though the person was right in front of him.
"Yes, I will do it." And after that the phone call was cut off. He rubbed his face roughly. He looked very nervous.
"What is it, headmaster?" Nico asked impatiently because he should have asked someone to clean up the chandelier.
However, instead of doing so, the headmaster turned his attention toward Liam and looked at the young boy sternly.
"We have gathered the evidence and from the surveillance video, there is no proof that Ms. Hope has tried to hurt you, which left with the accusation of you was trying to rape Ms. Hope." The headmaster's eyes pierced through Liam's, as the boy shuddered involuntarily to be glared like that.
"How dare you to do something so wretch to my little sister!?" Daniel enraged, if it was not for Hope, who was trying to hold him back, he would have punched him on the face.
"Daniel calm down!" Hope hugged her big brother to prevent him from doing anything stupid.
On the other hand, Garnet hugged her son, while her husband was speechless with the turn of event.
"There is no way something like that happened!" Garnet shouted at the headmaster fiercely, she was shaking. "You must have tampered with the evidence!"
But Garnet immediately clamped her mouth shut when the headmaster shot her with a pierce glare, as he snapped at her.
"If Ms. Hope's accusation is proven true that Mr. Liam was trying to defile her, he will be expelled from this school." The headmaster said that warning in such a way, which made Garnet, Nico and Liam himself frightened in fear. "We will investigate this matter further. For now, all of you can leave."
Garnet was about to rebuke that, as she was sure her baby boy was clean, but Nico shook his head and the three family immediately went out of the headmaster's office.
"We will take our leave too," Daniel mumbled, he was still angry.
"Yes," the headmaster replied in tired voice, it seemed whoever called him earlier managed to instill fear in his bone.
But when Hope was about to walk out of the office, the headmaster grabbed her wrist, which made her flinched and turned her body around to face him.
"You don't need to worry, alpha Lucien will clean up your name and deal with this matter," he said in reassuring tone.
"You know about him?" Hope was surprised to hear that name came out of the headmaster's lips.
"Yes, I know him," he replied furtively and left it at that.
Hearing that, Hope felt warm in her heart, knowing that the cruel alpha was trying to protect her, but then followed with that was a bitterness.
'Did he try to protect her or her uterus?'
Because he desperately needed her to be pregnant, since she was the only woman in this planet that could give him a baby.

"You shouldn't stop me," Daniel kept grumbling on their way home. "I should give him a punch or two to his face for trying something like that to you and turned around like a coward and accused you for something ridiculous. Assaulting him? Hah! Is he even a man? How could he say that without a shame?"
Daniel looked at his sister small stature and shook his head again. His sister not even have a courage to hurt an insect.
"You will only make things complicated if you are in physical altercation with him. They can sue you," Hope retorted, she sighed deeply. Her lower abdomen felt sore and uncomfortable, as she remembered how rude Lucien at that time with her.
'Was that him? Did he try to protect me?'
The thought of that made her blushed and she turned her head to see the street from the window car.
"What is it? You feel uncomfortable?" Daniel noticed how Hope was moving slightly every now and then, as if looking for a comfortable position.
"No," Hope replied nonchalantly and tried to stop moving around, as she avoided her brother's gaze. "The headmaster was telling me to not worry because alpha Lucien will deal with this matter."
Daniel sighed deeply. "Of course, he will. You are his mate after all." He then added with grumbling voice. "I can say that he is quite responsible to look after you."
Daniel then added a few words of praises, though it didn't sound very sincere, which made Hope laughed at her brother.
"You don't need to praise him if you don't want to," Hope said lightly, as she moved her body again unconsciously, which didn't go unnoticed by Daniel and made him sighed helplessly.
