Chapitre 3: Chapter 2: The Early Years in the North

Born during one of the harshest winters that the North had seen in decades, Aerian's birth brought much-needed warmth to the keep of house Aurelius as everyone from the Lord and Lady to the maids and the guards were filled with excitement at the new addition to the family. His father, Lord Tharren, looked upon his newborn son in his crib with pride and happiness gracing his face as house Aurelius finally had its heir. What made him even happier was that over the past few days since his son was born, he showed remarkable intelligence for a new babe, knowing when to get others' attention when he was hungry or right before he would soil his clothes, along with minimal crying making taking care of him a lot easier on everyone.

The first year of Aerians' life went by quickly, as most of his days were spent keeping away from the harsh winter outside those stone walls. He was mainly in the care of his mother and Old Nan, with his mother regaling him with stories of the great deeds the Aurelius of the past had done and heroic songs created because of those deeds. On the other hand, Old Nan favored telling him the fabled stories of the events that took place in the early days of Westeros, before and after the first men arrived on its shores and the magical beings that once roamed the continent in abundance.

As soon as Aerian could crawl, he began to explore every nook and cranny of their home. His curiosity knew no bounds, and he often tried to roam out of his room when he was let out of his crib or standing on his wobbly legs to peek out of the frosted windows. The household staff quickly became accustomed to his antics, often finding him in places he shouldn't be, yet always with a mischievous grin on his face.

By the time he was walking, Aerian would toddle outside under the watchful eye of his nursemaid. The snow-covered grounds became his playground. He'd giggle as he tried to catch snowflakes on his tongue or chase after the family's kittens, as they preferred feline company over canine. His father, Lord Tharren, began to teach him the names of the trees and the animals of the North, planting early seeds of respect for the land that would one day be his to protect.

At two years old, Aerian's education began in earnest. Lady Lilliana started teaching him the history and legends of the North, weaving tales of valor and honor around the crackling hearth. Aerian's eyes would widen as she spoke of the Night's Watch and the ancient battles fought to protect the realm.

Lord Tharren introduced him to the basics of swordplay using wooden swords. Though the weapons were mere toys, Aerian approached each lesson with the seriousness of a true warrior. Under his father's guidance, he learned not just the movements but the importance of discipline and focus. Even at such a young age, he displayed an uncanny ability to mimic his father's stances and strikes, showing promise that he might one day be a formidable fighter little did his father know that Aerian would become a person that would shake the foundations of the world in the future.

Life in the North was not without its dangers. During the second year of Aerians birth when he and his parents accompanied by their guards were out for a ride in the nearby woods, a pack of wolves ventured close to their group. Aerian watched from the safety of his mother's arms as his father and the guards defended their group until he heard a low growl come from behind them. Turning his heard to look over his mothers shoulder, what he saw left him stunned as there walking towards them was a big snow white tiger, bigger than any he saw back on earth.

The Tiger slowly and stealthily walked forwards making its way past the mother and child along with the guards that stayed behind to protect them in case any of the wolves slipped by. As it made its way to the front where his father stood, Aerian saw the tiger walk to stand by his fathers side, letting out a might roar towards the wolf pack in front making them lower their bodies in fear while backing away. After the group returned to the keep, his father introduced Aerian to the tiger who he found out to be his fathers companion, Frostclaw, the ghost of winter as you would not hear him stalking you until he claw was already at your throat. Seeing his curiosity towards the large feline, his father laughed and said that he would get his own companion when he was 5 name days as such is the tradition for the heir of house Aurelius.

By the time Aerian turned three, he had already developed a deep connection to his homeland. He was a child of the North—resilient, curious, and beginning to understand the weight of the legacy he was born into. The frosty winds, the stories of old, and the love of his family were shaping him into the strong and courageous leader he was destined to become.

while having breakfast with his parents one morning, a guard rushed into the hall looking panicked and out of breath as a kneeled on one knee before our table and giving his report

"My Lord! there is a contingent of knights on horses outside our walls at least a thousand of them, they say they are here for Young master Aerian!"

hearing the report from the guard, my father stood up immediately and made his way with the guard towards the wall to get a grasp of the situation while my mother came over and picked me up proceeding to take me back to my room.

'I guess I will be getting my knights soon' I thought with a smile on my face.
