Chapitre 9: Breather
By the time we're trying to go back to the dormitories, I had Kushida trailing behind me in a certain distance.
"Seriously after all you've done, what are you planning to do with me?" Kushida said but in a lowered voice as possible.
I looked back to her with a teasing expression, "You're really impatient aren't you? It's not you hate it all right?"
Kushida's face blushed, but her face still showed frustration with humiliation.
"Your body is quite honest, you should loosen up more. Or else you might risk having a third party witnessing your true selves. I like your hidden side more than your fake self." I said.
"Just what do you even know about me?" Kushida glared.
She's being careful now that we're in a public place. If she were to show her true colors here, even with this time of the night there might be a student who might see her.
"I know a lot than you might think Kushida. About your true self, the blog you post in the internet, or even the incident you have in middle school. I know you wanted to be the best and garner everyone's attention. I know about your hatred of Horikita because she came in the same middle school as you. I know it all." I said fully revealing my cards that are fully stacked against her.
Just even one of those card could spell the jeopardize her desired highschool life.
"How?" Kushida showed a face of disbelief.
"But don't worry, I'm not gonna tell anyone. In fact I don't intend to interfere with your high school life." I said.
"Don't lie to me. I know there's something you might want from me after you hold all of my secrets." Kushida says.
"I know you're a sharp woman." I said. "Then here is the thing I can offer you. I will offer you my protection, in exchange you follow me when I need you for something."
"Is that all?" Kushida asked.
"Simple right? You might not know, but this school is completely different than normal schools. There are risks of expulsion and getting embroiled by the schemes of other classes to climb up the ranks. There might be a situation where you can't control and you'll end up getting cornered. When that time comes I will be the one to protect you." I said.
"That's pretty generous coming from someone who holds all of my weaknesses. So you just want me as your servant isn't it?"
"That's an extreme word you're using there. But you got the gist of it. Of course you may continue living the everyday girl popular with everyone. No one needs to know of our relationship."
I'm the end, Kushida agreed to our mutually beneficial relationship. Well she couldn't exactly say no because of her position.
I'm sure she's still harboring thoughts of some sort of hatred towards me, and she might try to betray me anytime. But that will all be futile in due time, she will realize submitting herself to me would be more beneficial than harm.

In the morning, I sent a text message to Kushida. I think she would appreciate it, using it to gain more attention and her popularity rises.
It's not good just giving her stick, sometimes a person would be more motivated to work for me to dangle carrot for them. Using forceful methods would only make them ineffective.
When I reached the school building in where the shoe lockers are, I coincidentally met with Kushida.
"Good morning to you Karma-kun!" she smiled at me as if nothing about yesterday ever happened.
"Yeah, good morning Kushida."
From the looks of her eyes, it seemed she received my message. That should be enough for now.
I went inside the Class C's classroom. Ryuen seems to have already his classroom under control. He is treated like a tyrant King by his classmates.
"Yo, Akabane. I heard you joined the student council or something? I guess that would be expected coming from an honor student like you ku ku ku."
"Good morning Ryuen. Flaunting your bad attitude so early in the morning?"
"Ku ku ku, you have problem with that?"
"Not really. Just make sure to do it in moderation, Midterms is all around the corner."
"I'll do whatever t I want, whenever I want, I don't remember following orders from you."
I only shrugged my shoulders by his brazen attitude. Last weekend, Ryuen decided to launch an attack on me.
For the entire April, he already made the entire class his bitch. That time the classroom was a mess. Ishizaki, Komiya, Kondo, Ibuki, rebelled against Ryuen's ridiculous attitude. Ryuen beat them up and emerged victorious. Even the honor student like Kaneda refused to obey Ryuen, but got beaten up all the same. Albert was a little more different. It took Ryuen three losses before he barely snag a victory from him.
That all happened in the span of a single month. I watched it all happened in the classroom.
The only reason why Ryuen targeted me last is because I have been passive when it all happened. Ryuen might also realized I'm a dangerous guy to message with, so he decided to muster up all of his forces before coming at me.
In the end it has proven futile under my power. I beat him to submission along with his friends. I reminded him that there are monsters in this world that he shouldn't step in his way.
But Ryuen is not the type to give up just because he lost once. Even if it took him a hundred, a thousand tries, as long as he won in the end it will be his victory.
I'm pretty sure he will continue to come after me, but he must realized he was still not strong enough to crush me.
I haven't broken Ryuen's spirit or taught him fear, that is not my role to play.
In the end I gave him the authority as the class representative. I will be laying low in a while focus on student council work, and Ryuen will be the main guy to call the shots.
Right now, he knows his rule over Class C is all an illusion I gave him where I can take away from him whenever I want. I bet he's thinking to truly become the king of this class. I'll welcome his challenge with me anytime, that is what makes my school life interesting after all.
"Akabane-kun, I don't really like Ryuen. Can you do something about it?"
"Seriously, he's scary."
"Why is a guy like that even in our class?"
In he end Ryuen and I decided to be in a cooperative relationship for leading this class in the future. Ryuen will continue to rule like a tyrant King, but my fearless attitude I have towards him would make the students that opposes Ryuen's rule gather under my banner. It is a scheme to identify who might raise the flag of rebellion against Ryuen while in fact I was secretly cooperating with him.
But as long as I remain passive and neutral with Ryuen's rule, a revolution would only be a dream. It will only make the students trying to make me go against Ryuen receive a beating. Slowly they will realize gathering under me is futile, and Ryuen is the one legitimate leader for Class C.
