Chapitre 118: Chapter 118 What to Do in the Heat?

Emily lay down on the bed, the sensation of the heat making it difficult for her to sleep. Soft moonlight streamed through the windows, flooding the floor of the hospital room with a silvery whiteness. She rolled over gently and slid out of bed, her feet making a soft sound on the cool floor.

Slowly, she walked over to the dining-room table, searching for water to drink. When she picked up her water bottle, she realized it was empty.

"Damn it, there's no water," Emily muttered, setting the kettle down. As she looked down, she noticed a faint orange glow seeping in through the crack under the door. The glow was reminiscent of a flickering candle, standing out against the darkness.

Emily bit her lower lip lightly, knowing that Klaus was out there.

Her wolf was stirring again.

"Calm down, Shirley," Emily whispered to her wolf. "There must be a way for us to get through this."
