CHAPTER 7 – MY FIRST JOURNEY COMPANION
After Bunneary accepted, Celeste gave them the Potion she made with Chansey to drink.
"Let's wait a while" – Celeste said.

My consciousness was plunged into darkness, I felt as if I couldn't move a single muscle, am I dead again? It's only been a few hours since I reincarnated, have I really died again? I wanted to have more adventures, I wanted to catch more Pokémon, I wanted to captivate all the pretty girls, I wanted to become a legend, but instead, did I die?
I thought so, I honestly believed that I had died again, but I soon discovered that it was just a nightmare, perhaps caused by my previous experience with death, but putting that aside, I slowly opened my eyes.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu exclaimed.
Seeing his best friend awake, Pikachu lunged at him and hugged him.
"Neary!" - exclaimed Bunneary.
She did the same.
I looked around in confusion for a few moments as I hugged my Pokémon and comforted them, but suddenly, I saw her, the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my two lives.
She was small, yes, she looked like a loli, yes, but she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.
"Who are you?" – I asked unconsciously.
"That's right, my name is Celeste Joy and I'm the one who will become the best Pokémon nurse in the world" - Celeste said.
She was determined to be that.
"You must be the one who saved me, thank you very much, Celeste" – I smiled.
Seeing his smile, Celeste's heart began to beat strongly, now that she could see Ash carefully, she could see that he was an extremely handsome boy, it was love at first sight, had she fallen in love? It couldn't be, she had no interest in love and never planned to have a partner, in fact, no guy had made a good impression on her until now, but with just a few words and a smile... she was completely captivated by this guy, how is that possible?
"You're welcome, I just did what I had to do, anyone would help a person who needs help" – Celeste said.
She seemed a little shy, but I chalked it up to the fact that she was probably shy per se.
"By the way, my name is Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town and my goal is to become the best Pokémon trainer in the world" - I said.
I always wanted to say that, what a thrill!
"The best Pokémon trainer?" - she asked confused.
A dream that many had but that only a few achieved.
"That's right, although for now... it's only our first day of our journey" – I said a little embarrassed.
Rather it's only been a few hours since I started my journey.
"And what happened to you to end up unconscious in a river?" - asked Celeste.
It was abnormal, not to say very rare, to find yourself in such a situation.
"Unfortunately we were attacked by a Gyarados and fell into the river" – I said.
"A Gyarados in this area? How strange, normally around here there is only Magikarp" - Celeste said somewhat confused.
"It is possible that one evolved" – I said.
It's a theory, I just have no idea.
"You may be right, but now the question is, how are you? Your Pikachu has already told me that she's fine, so you're the only left" – Celeste said with a smile.
"T-This, I'm fine, I already feel more energetic than ever" – I said standing up.
"Hehe, I'm glad" – Celeste said.
"By the way, what were you doing in this area?" – I asked curiously.
"You see, today is the beginning of my journey, but I wanted to go out and collect some herbs to make some Potions before leaving" – Celeste said.
"Hmm, sorry I'm so rude, but... can't you buy Potions in the store?" – I asked confused.
"Yes, you can, but as I said, I'm going on a journey, so naturally there will be times when I'll have to camp outdoors or an emergency happens in the middle of nowhere, so I have to learn to be self-sufficient, that's why I decided to start today before I go" - Celeste said.
I see... wait a minute, didn't she say before that her last name was Joy?
"Excuse me, but according to what you told me... aren't you a Nurse Joy?" – I asked.
I couldn't help but ask.
"No, not yet, I'm just a rookie, but that's why I want to travel instead of staying to study at school, I want to see the world, study Pokémon, all Pokémon and invent new medicines to help everyone, I want to be the best and for that I need to travel the world" – Celeste said.
I don't know why, but at that moment, I was compelled to ask something that would surely mark the rest of my life.
"Sorry if I'm being shameless, but... do you want to be my journey companion?" – I asked.
I know that's not something you'd ask a person you've just met, but... Misty and Ash also didn't know each other much in the anime and yet they ended up traveling together through Kanto, the Orange Islands and Johto, so obviously I also want a partner, besides, I like this girl, I want to try to captivate her.
"Be your journey companion?" - asked Celeste surprised.
She was also going to ask him the same, especially after hearing that his goal was to be the best trainer, obviously as a trainer, you were also forced to travel around the world, so she was sure that, with him, she could meet all kinds of Pokémon and study them, besides, it would be fun and she also liked that boy a lot, they were all advantages, however, Ash said it before her.
"Yes, I know I shouldn't ask this to someone I just met, but..." – I tried to say.
"Yes!" - she said immediately.
I was a little surprised looking at her and she looked at me too.
Suddenly, a somewhat peculiar atmosphere formed around us.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu said.
Somehow she seemed a little jealous, because she pushed me away, hit me gently in the face with her tail.
"Hehe, it seems that you get along very well" – Celeste laughed.
Ash told her that today was their first day of travel, so how could they get along so well?
"Neary!" – said Bunneary.
She also gave me a small blow on the leg, it wasn't strong, it was quite tender to tell the truth.
"It seems so" – I nodded.
"Well, anyway, before we leave I'll introduce you, she's my travel companion and my first Pokémon, Chansey" – Celeste said introducing us to her Chansey.
"Chansey!" - Chansey exclaimed with a smile.
"Nice to meet you" – I said with a smile.
"Pika pi!" – Pikachu said.
"Neary!" - exclaimed Bunneary.
"And once they were presented... let's go home, before embarking on our adventure, I have to say goodbye to my grandmother or else she will scold me" – Celeste said.
"Come on, by the way, are we very far from Viridian City?" – I asked curiously.
Since I had been unconscious for quite some time and had fallen into a river, I had no idea where I was and although I could have looked at my smartphone... the truth is that after getting wet I don't know if it will work, as far as Manaphy's egg is concerned, it was in very good conditions.
"No, we are only a 15-minute walk away, so if we hurry, in less than an hour we will start our journey" - Celeste said.
"Good" – I nodded.
Then, I just returned Bunneary to her Pokéball and we went straight to Viridian City.
By the way, on the way I checked the status of my Smartphone/Pokédex and checked that it had not suffered any damage, which is surprising, but when Celeste saw me checking the Pokédex for any fault, she told me that the Pokédex were submersible and that they would not break just by a little water, apparently the Pokédex could dive up to 100 meters deep, then they would break.

Once in Viridian City.
15 minutes later we arrived without problems to Viridian City and I must say that it was a pretty nice city, also, as its name says, it was a city where many people lived and not like in the video game that there were 4 houses and that's it, here there were hundreds of houses, the good thing is that it was not a very big city, so it didn't take long for us to get to Celeste's house.
