While Barry, Oliver, Roy, and Diggle were coming to terms with the fact that Harkness had outsmarted them, Swayam suddenly sensed that something was happening with Caitlin. Without bothering to inform anyone, he abruptly left and hastened toward the Foundry, where Caitlin, Felicity, and Lyla were.
In that moment, Swayam didn't care if anyone discovered his abilities. Since he hadn't fully practiced most of them and wasn't proficient, he decided to rely on the ones he was somewhat familiar with, particularly his physical abilities. However, due to the urgency of the situation, he subconsciously tapped into all his powers, causing his body to generate multicolored lightning that became visible to the naked eye.
Despite his desperation, Swayam's cautious nature remained intact. He somehow managed to combine several metahuman abilities he had previously acquired, creating a unique power that temporarily erased his presence from existence itself. Although this ability was still in its infancy, it held the potential for significant growth if fully mastered. But all that mattered to Swayam in that moment was Caitlin's well-being.
Driven by desperation, Swayam arrived at the Foundry even faster than Barry. However, the scene that greeted him was not what he had expected.
Let's rewind a bit to see what had happened a few minutes earlier.
Before Oliver left to track down and capture Digger Harkness, he handed Felicity an encrypted cellphone he had taken from Klaus Markos during an interrogation. He asked her to decrypt it and uncover whatever secrets Klaus Markos and Digger Harkness might be hiding.
Unbeknownst to them, Harkness had already infiltrated their base, and the sense of security in their high-tech lair was about to be shattered.
Though it took some time, Felicity eventually managed to decrypt the cellphone. However, what she didn't expect was that the phone Oliver had handed her was actually a tracker, deliberately given to Klaus Markos by Harkness himself.
Felicity only realized the phone was bugged when it suddenly started ringing.
Lyla, being an A.R.G.U.S. agent, quickly understood the situation. Still, she wanted to confirm her suspicions, so she asked, "Could someone turn it back on remotely?" Before she could finish her thought, Felicity, already connecting the dots, interrupted, "And backtrack the trace? If that's the case, we need to get out of here now!" She stood up, preparing to leave, but before she could move, there was a sudden, sharp noise—a metallic thud followed by the whirring sound of a boomerang slicing through the air. The boomerang, coming from out of nowhere, narrowly missed them but embedded itself into a monitor.
Caitlin and Felicity hurriedly took cover, expecting Lyla to do the same. However, Lyla, being the target of Harkness's revenge, remained in the open.
Harkness easily spotted Lyla and confronted her with a chilling greeting, "Hello, Lyla. It's been a long time." But Lyla, a trained A.R.G.U.S. agent, was ready. She quickly grabbed a ninja star from near Roy's superhero suit mannequin and threw it at Harkness.
In the midst of their confrontation, a boomerang ricocheted off a metal surface, grazing Caitlin's arm. The pain was sharp, but what happened next took her by surprise. She felt a surge of energy coursing through her, unlike anything she had ever experienced. Her vision began to blur, and her skin momentarily glowed with a faint, icy-blue light. She didn't understand it yet, but something deep within her had been awakened.
As Lyla finished throwing the ninja stars at Harkness, she urgently shouted to Felicity, "Where are the guns?" Felicity, still taking cover, responded, "In the third drawer!"
Lyla quickly retrieved a gun from the drawer and began firing at Harkness, matching his boomerangs with her gunfire.
Seeing that Lyla was overpowering him, Harkness took cover and threw a boomerang in a wide arc, embedding it in Lyla's back. With his retreat seemingly secured, Harkness attempted to flee, but he was unexpectedly stopped by Caitlin, who had previously been hiding.
What Harkness didn't know was that Caitlin's existence had become unique due to her connection with Swayam. The graze from his boomerang had stimulated her unique physiology, awakening her dormant powers.
