Chapitre 16: Up To Speed
'Now that I'm done with my little recap in my head that Zygor dragging Joey, entered a cave inside of a random hill. Now the only problem is getting inside without anyone noticing, and I'm slowly realizing that I should've prepared more for this.
"Now the only thing I need is a way to get in there without them finding out." Jowgen the Spiritualist reponds. "No but we can make your preesence hard to detect for other people." "That works for me just something to get me in there without letting the other people knowing I'm there."
Looking down I don't see anything different but I notice as I approach the cave that I don''t leave foot prints and that the usually persistant bugs start to leave me alone.
Entering the cave I walk through and see Bandit Keith, Bonz, Zygor and an extra who I don't know the name of. 'I guess defeating Sid before he could try for the nationals ruined his chance of getting into duelist kingdom.' Entering the shadows a couple of feet away from Bandit Keith I make sure to not make a sound as Zygor puts Joey onto his dueling platform.
"Huh? Where am I?" "The boss wants you dueling up you go." Joey after waking up is raised up as I see Bonz dramatically raise himself up and start on his tangent of ghosts and ghouls while scaring Joey stiff.
'I don't know how Joey could ever be scared of Bonz I mean the monsters summoned during the games are way more scary. I mean have you seen Hisotsume Giant summoned with Kaiba corps technology it's terrifying.'
As I'm going off on a tangent Joey and Bonz begin their duel with Joey winning in the begining putting Bonz at 1350 LP but he didn't summon Flame Swordsman and instead summoned a card different from how I remeber it Gearfried The Iron Knight which Joey declared that it had a effect that gave Joey one equip spell or one trap card with chain in its name from his deck to his hand giving Joey Salamandra.
Bonz predictably drew Call of the Haunted and played it but it has some key differences like actually reviving up to 3 different monsters with their effects negated while it also has the weird anime effect of turning them into zombies with lowering their DEF to 0 effectively turning cards like Crawling Dragon into Dragon Zombie.
Yugi Tea and Tristan appear as Joey continues to get beaten down he gets the pep talk by Yugi and summons Red Eyes Black Dragon destroying Bonz Pumpking The King of Ghosts. 'It seems that the duel is going almost exactly the same as in the original. Oh and here comes the Battle Warrior, Shield and Sword combo though Battle Warrior has 2000 DEF instead of the 1000 it should have.
Nearly the same events happen with Bandit Keith leaving with Bonz Zygor and the other guy trapping Yugi's gang in the cave while I sneak out through the same place as Bandit Keith to watch as he takes Bonz, Zygor and the last guy's starchips getting 10 total starchips.
"Bandit Keith the sore loser." Ending the pressence elimination Bandit Keith turns around and finds me next to Bonz. "What who are you? and who do you think your calling a loser I'm Bandit Keith the best duelist on this island."
"Stop pretending your top 5 at best, your can't beat Kaiba, me, Yugi, Joey, Mai and you definitely can't beat Pegasus. Your nothing but a 3rd rate duelist with 1st rate tricks and 2nd rate deck."
"How dare you I'm atleast beater than that Joey brat and I would've beat Pegasus if it wasn't for his cheating. You know what if you think your better than me duel me and I'll wipe you off this island."
"Ha Bandit Keith I didn't come here to fight I already have 10 starchips I've come here to help you since I know your future. Even with your tricks you'll only make it so far and even if you do get to have a rematch with Pegasus you don't have anything that can compete with his real deck let alone the power his eye wields."
"So what are you saying huh? You think I'll give up hell no!"
"That's not what I'm saying at all, I'm saying that I'm willing to help you with cards you gave Bonz that Call of the Haunted because while its a good card you couldn't make use of it with your machines.
I have cards that are built just for you, powerful machine cards that can give you an edge against anyone starting off with Burning Barrel Dragon."
As I reveal Burning Barrel Dragon to him is eyes go wide and his demeanor shifts. "So what do what from me inexchange I know you won't give me these cards for free."
"The only thing I want you to do is distract Pegasus for me you can participate in the finals as normal but after the winner duels Pegasus I need you to distract the guards and cause a problem for the guards to deal with.
As that's happening I can sneak in and take Pegasus and once I do so we'll both leave on a boat I've prepared on the other side of the island. Once we take Pegasus off the island we can do whatever we want, take over Industrious Illusions, destroy his image or even end him for good.
Doesn't that sound good to you, you get cards and then we take down Pegasus and reveal him as the fraud he is. So are you in?"
Bandit Keith takes a minute to think then responds "I'm in."
'Part 1 "Preperation" of the plan is finished now onto part 2 the "FInal Dance".'
