Chapitre 211: Chapter 211 Undercover Leverkusen Stand! Your Uncle Is Your Uncle

In the UEFA Champions League scoring list for the new season, Su Luo currently leads as the top scorer with five goals in just two games, surpassing Ronaldo's three goals and Messi's two. In the assist rankings, Su Luo is tied for first place alongside stars like Messi and Toni Kroos.

Ronaldo, despite his best efforts, struggled to catch up with Su Luo, leaving him frustrated. After being eliminated by Union Berlin last season, Ronaldo had been eager for revenge. To his surprise, Real Madrid drew Union Berlin again this season, but unfortunately, it was only in the group stage. Even worse, Su Luo was no longer with Union Berlin, leaving Ronaldo feeling like he was punching at air.

In the third match of Group D in the Champions League, Real Madrid faced Union Berlin at the Bernabéu. Real Madrid finally displayed their dominance, beating Union Berlin 3-1 at home. Ronaldo scored a spectacular free kick, breaking through Pickford's defense.

Returning to the locker room after the game, it was clear that Real Madrid had achieved their revenge, but Ronaldo was far from satisfied. He angrily smashed a water bottle on the ground. Despite several good chances to score, he had hoped to complete a hat-trick but failed due to his own impatience.

Seeing Ronaldo's foul mood, the Real Madrid players cautiously avoided him. Only their coach, Zidane, was unafraid to approach him. After all, in the world of football, even Ronaldo had to show respect to Zidane.

"Cristiano, come outside for a moment," Zidane said, crossing his arms as he waited by the locker room door.

"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" Ronaldo asked, still seething.

"What's going on with you? We won the match. Why are you so upset?"

"I want to surpass that guy!" Ronaldo blurted out.

"Are you playing to outshine others, or are you playing to win championships?" Zidane questioned.

"I…," Ronaldo faltered, suddenly unsure. As a professional footballer, wasn't it all about winning and lifting trophies?

The pressure Su Luo had put on him had left Ronaldo a bit lost.

"As long as we make it to the final and lift the championship trophy, we'll have beaten him," Zidane continued. "Even if he scores more goals, everyone will remember you for winning the title. That's what matters."

Zidane's words struck a chord. In the 2006 World Cup, Zidane had missed out on the Hercules Cup. Even though he had been the best player of the tournament and led France to the final, it was Italy who celebrated in the end, leaving Zidane with nothing.

"I understand now," Ronaldo replied, his focus returning. As long as he lifted the Champions League trophy, he could still overshadow Su Luo. Falling behind didn't seem so bad anymore.

"Good. As long as you play your best, we'll win the championship this year," Zidane reassured him. A focused Ronaldo was indeed a terrifying force.

"Remember last season when we knocked them out here? Su's last-minute goal was a thing of beauty!" Zidane reminisced.

"Yeah, but things are different now," Ronaldo agreed, shaking his head.

Meanwhile, in the visiting team's stands at the Bernabéu, Hans, Budd, and their friends were packing up their flags, preparing to leave. This season, Union Berlin's strength had significantly declined, falling from their previous heights. After losing key players like Su Luo, Mahrez, Kimmich, Keita, and Rudiger, Union Berlin now ranked fifth in the Bundesliga. In the Champions League, they drew 1-1 with Eindhoven, defeated Rostov 2-0, and lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.

Last season's Champions League semi-finalists were now struggling just to qualify for the knockout stages. Union Berlin fans missed Su Luo and the unstoppable Iron Legion more with each passing day. Those fantastic seasons, with back-to-back Bundesliga titles, were the happiest times for the fans. But in the "post-Su Luo era," they had to face the reality of their new situation.

Thankfully, the team was still holding on. Players like Quinine, Sane, Paredes, Richards, Alex, Lisandro Martinez, Ake, and Weghorst remained in the squad. The club also managed to bring in some promising young talents, including teenager Havertz from Leverkusen's youth academy and young player Valverde on loan from Real Madrid's B team. Additionally, they signed former Manchester United star Berbatov on a free transfer.

Most importantly, following Su Luo's suggestion, they managed to secure a key player from Chelsea—Salah! Due to Su Luo's transfer, Chelsea didn't drive a hard bargain with Union Berlin and agreed to a friendly price of 12.5 million euros for Salah. By doing so, Union Berlin snatched a top player right from under Roma's nose!

In the match against Real Madrid, the only goal for Union Berlin was scored by Salah. With Sane on the left and Salah on the right, Union Berlin's attacking power was still among the best in the Bundesliga.

After coach Neuhaus voluntarily resigned, Urs Fischer took over, and it looked likely that Union Berlin could still secure a Champions League spot this season. However, the Bundesliga title seemed destined for Bayern Munich.

"By the way, Chelsea is playing Leverkusen tomorrow. Should we sneak into the BayArena and watch Su Luo play?" Uncle Hans suggested suddenly.

"Sure! But can we get tickets?" Budd asked, excited.

"Don't worry, I have some connections in Leverkusen. We can get a few tickets, but they'll be in the home team's stands," Uncle Hans replied with a grin.

Since his daughter's bone marrow transplant had been successful, little Anya was gradually recovering, and Uncle Hans was in high spirits.

"No problem! Let's head straight to Leverkusen!" Budd shouted eagerly.

They were thrilled at the thought of cheering for Su Luo once more.

As they hurried from Madrid to Leverkusen, Uncle Hans managed to secure three tickets through his connections. They found themselves undercover in the Leverkusen fans' stands, surrounded by "enemies" with the constant risk of being exposed.

When Su Luo took the field for Chelsea, Budd couldn't help but almost shout out in support. "Lord…!" he began, but Uncle Hans quickly clapped a hand over his mouth to silence him.

The upcoming match was going to be a true test of their self-control!

In the 15th minute of the first half, Chelsea earned a corner kick. David Luiz sent the ball forward, and it landed near the penalty spot. Su Luo, with a subtle knee raise, blocked the opposing defender and then executed a stunning scissor-kick volley. The ball sailed into the net!

The shot was so spectacular that even Uncle Hans, a die-hard Leverkusen fan, couldn't help but gasp.

"Strike... uh, oh no..." Uncle Hans had started to cheer, but realizing where he was, quickly changed his expression to one of heartbreak as the home crowd fell silent.

Leverkusen 0:1 Chelsea

In the 29th minute, Leverkusen tried to mount a counterattack, but Kante intercepted the ball. Chelsea quickly launched a counter of their own, with Su Luo and Azpilicueta executing a perfect one-two on the left flank. As Su Luo approached the penalty area, he suddenly cut inside and unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, sending the ball crashing into the back of the net!

Leverkusen 0:2 Chelsea

The Leverkusen fans groaned, while Uncle Hans tried to suppress his joy, remembering the thrill that Su Luo's long-range strikes used to bring to Union Berlin fans.

In the second half, Chelsea's 3-4-3 formation continued to dominate. After a series of relentless attacks, Moses delivered a precise cross from the right. Lukaku, like a feint in volleyball, drew the defenders away, leaving Su Luo unmarked. Su Luo leaped high at the far post and headed the ball home, completing his hat-trick!

"Hat trick!!" Uncle Hans and his friends could hardly contain their excitement, even though they were surrounded by disappointed Leverkusen supporters.

Leverkusen 0:3 Chelsea

To rest Su Luo, who had been playing twice a week, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte substituted him in the 60th minute. Uncle Hans and his friends finally saw a chance to sneak out of the stadium, where they could finally celebrate freely.

"Su Luo has really gotten stronger," one of them remarked.

"Yeah, he's matured so much in the Premier League. You don't see those flashy but pointless tricks anymore."

As loyal Union Berlin fans, they were thrilled to see Su Luo's growth. After all, he was one of their own, a star who had risen from East Berlin. No matter where he played, they would always be proud of him.

In the end, Chelsea defeated Leverkusen 4-0, securing their third consecutive Champions League victory and extending their winning streak to 12 matches across all competitions. They were firmly in the lead.

The hat-trick hero, Su Luo, missed the post-match celebration party. With Conte's approval, he left the hotel and got into an Aston Martin Vulcan. Erica had come to pick him up.

Since Su Luo's car was stored in the villa's garage, he handed it over to Erica.

"Did you miss me?" she asked playfully.

"Of course I did, every day in London," Su Luo replied with a smile.

"Liar, you don't have time to miss me!" Erica teased, though she was clearly pleased.

They shared a kiss, had a romantic dinner in the city, and then returned to the hotel to continue their private celebration.

After some intense "cardio," Erica fell asleep first. Su Luo stepped out onto the balcony, lighting a cigarette, when his phone rang.

"Hey, honey," Su Luo answered.

"Luo, why did you take so long to answer?" came Josephine's voice on the other end.

"I just wrapped up a late-night meeting with my teammates, you know, a celebration party," Su Luo lied smoothly, a skill he'd honed over time.

Josephine was skeptical but chose not to press him further. "I watched the game. You were amazing, as always."

"When are you coming to London? I miss you," Su Luo said sincerely. In Berlin, whenever Josephine wasn't on a business trip, she would always greet him when he returned home. Now, even though his mansion in London was large, it felt empty and lonely.

"The Milan event is wrapping up soon. Otherwise, who knows what trouble you might get into with some young English model," Josephine joked.

"Come on, I'm not that kind of guy," Su Luo protested, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

"Sure, sure," Josephine sighed, knowing better. The two spent more time apart than together, and with Su Luo being a young, energetic man, certain temptations were inevitable. But compared to other professional players, Su Luo was relatively restrained.

"When you come back, are you planning to play against Man United? I'll come to Stamford Bridge to watch you."

"Yeah, in four days," Su Luo confirmed.

In four days, Chelsea would be facing Manchester United at home. Before their final showdown with Manchester City, they had to first overcome the Red Devils.
