Jie stopped and tilted his head back then he looked up to the ceiling before taking a deep breath and turning to his mother.

"What are you talking about?" He asked, pretending to be unaware of what had his entire family eagerly awaiting his arrival.

"Don't act like you don't know what is going on, who gave you the moral superiority to place judgment on Liling and on top of that you cancelled my spending money!" Qi Li shrieked hysterically and her husband shushed her up but she shrugged his hand off her shoulder and continued to stare at Jie.

"I don't understand why you would come to such a huge decision without speaking to any of us." Mrs Cheng said in a gentler tone as she searched her son's indifferent face for answers.

She had been shocked when uncle and auntie had come to her with a crying Liling, complaining about what Jie had done to them. She understood that Jie was under pressure but he could not act like a tyrant with his own family.
