Chapitre 142: Scammer

Leila removed her mask and took out her phone to play after settling into the train. She knew it would take a little longer before the train took off. Lately, she did not have time to read her novels or follow up on her dramas. 

As soon as she checked her phone, she found a message from the long-gone Xavier Remington. She opened it.

[I will return tomorrow. The matter I needed to handle took longer than expected.]

Leila was a little relieved to know that Xavier was fine, but the relief was replaced by anger. Did Xavier think she would be waiting for him after he failed to talk to her for two weeks? He was dreaming. 

With that, she mercilessly blocked him. 

Her entire body was radiating unhappiness when she thought about the infuriating man. She knew she was being petty, but she did not want to deal with him. It was her right to be annoyed.
