Red's POV

"Red, thank you for taking good care of my daughter," Destiny's dad said with a wide grin after he called for me.

We are on the back porch, sitting on the durable rattan chairs facing the fields. He looked calm and dignified even after that horrible incident that happened to him and Destiny.

"I failed to protect her, Alejandro," I responded with remorse in my voice.

"Red, you did your best to protect her in your own ways. Give yourself a break," he answered, tapping my shoulder.

"When I found out about Carmen's relationship with my brother, I was so angry, but she used her charm on me, and I was such a fool for falling for her, and I forgave her thinking she was honest with me," Alejandro added.

"I still marry Carmen even after I found out she lied to me. And I gave her another chance since I was under her spell and was such an idiot." He added.
