"Oh this will be interesting," Amelia said good-naturedly as she watched the nurses wheel Emmeline back into her ward.

Aiden stared after them, horrified. He felt all his hair stand on his body the moment Emmeline cast his eyes upon him. In fact, for someone who took so much pride in his handsome features, he had never wanted more than to go under the knife and take on a new face.

"She seems so much nicer without her rationality, as odd as that seems," Amelia continued. She then turned and looked at Matteo. "How long do you think this state will last?

"Not long enough, unfortunately," Matteo said with a doting smile. He then looked at Aiden, his expression turned teasing. He grinned almost a little too cheekily before he said, "Have fun. You will need to look after her."

"Why should I?!" Aiden asked with a huff. "I could just go home right now!"
