That first touch of their lips had instantly stolen Amelia's breath. She gasped against his lips but was quickly captured again when Matteo deepened the kiss.

It started out slow― his movements were hesitant, waiting for Amelia to push him away or reject his advances. Perhaps he should've asked, maybe he should've waited for her to get more comfortable with him, but he had one too many beers under Aiden's influence and that little source of alcohol was enough to fuel his courage.
