Time passed without Dominic returning afterward. Ava's instincts started working. She and Irina were just about to run towards the stairs when Aryen ran up the stairs first.
"Let me catch up with them, Mom!"

With her heart beating fast, Ava ran to catch her child, who was running fast and leaving her behind. Her child, who was always active and agile, climbed the stairs quickly without caring about Ava's panicked calls as she chased him.
