"Miss Viona, come with me inside." asked an officer in police uniform to Viona.
Yes, finally Viona arrived at the downtown sector police station. After confirming her arrival as Viona, the owner of the cell phone number on Jansen's cell phone call list, she was invited to go to a hospital not far from there.
The two of them walked into a room that some people found scary, the Mortuary.
The officer who was with Viona walked closer to a row of beds containing corpses covered with white sheets.
"Here, Miss. Tell me, do you recognize this man? My colleague found the cell phone in the corpse's jacket pocket," said the officer again.
'Jacket pocket?'
Deg…
Viona's heart seemed to stop for a second. Her body stiffened, but not because of fear. She didn't know why her heart ached and her tears felt like they were going to fall when she opened the cloth covering the corpse.
When she was about to remove the cloth covering the body in front of her, the officer near Viona called her again.
"Miss, take a look at this corpse too. Maybe you also recognize him," said the officer, and this time he opened the cloth covering the body in front of him.
'H-he... General...' Viona even hesitated to say the name in her heart. She really couldn't believe what she was seeing right now. How could it be possible that in front of her right now lay the dead body of Major General Kenneth?
"Do you recognize him too? This man was found dead next to the body of a man near you," the police officer's words this time made Viona's body stiffen even more.
"We contacted you because of the many numbers that were contacted, only your telephone number could be connected. That's why we sent you here, Miss." said the police officer again.
Her hands were starting to feel weak and shaking, but she felt like she wanted to see whose corpse was near her at the moment.
With a heavy heart but with certainty, Viona opened the cloth covering the body.
Deg…
'So I can't call you Clover anymore?'
'But okay, even if your name changes, you still want to be my friend, right? Please don't change after you finish your military duty, Boss.'
'I will always know wherever you are, and I will always follow you like a tail, haha!'
Every sentence from the past came back to Viona's mind when her eyes saw the corpse she had just opened.
"J-Jansen… why?" She said softly. Her knees grew weaker until now Viona was sitting limp on the floor of the mortuary wall.
Tears suddenly fell without being asked. Viona didn't think that she would have to see Jansen die.
"So, do you recognize this man, Miss?" The question was heard again, and it succeeded in dissolving Viona's current sadness.
She started to wipe her tears and got up, standing to see Jansen's condition again.
Jansen's face did not have any injuries such as bruises or anything like that. But dozens of holes were left in his body containing bullets that had not even been removed.
'What happened, Jansen? Why are you and Major General Kenneth like this?' Viona began to wonder to herself while directing her gaze at Major General Kenneth's corpse.
"Miss, did you hear me?" The officer beside her asked again.
"Yes, I recognize it. He's my childhood friend and we've only met a few times recently," Viona answered in a flat tone.
"Then, what about the corpse over there? You know him too?" the officer asked again.
"No," Viona answered briefly. She did not want to comment anything about Major General Kenneth. She was tired and didn't know what to say about the former general.
The police officer seemed dissatisfied with Viona's answer, "Really? But why-,"
'Braaak!'
The door to the morgue opened and startled both of them. From the front door appeared a dashing man aged around 45 years wearing an army-colored leather jacket.
Viona, who initially didn't care about the man's arrival, suddenly widened her eyes when she realized who was there.
When the man raised his hand in a brief salute to the police officer who was carrying Viona, his face began to fully appear.
"I am Shine Garendra from the Central Headquarters. Can you give me some time to talk to that woman?" said the man at the door, who gave his name as Shine Garendra.
Not only did he return the salute and nod of the head, but the officer carrying Viona also immediately greeted, "Salute, General! Yes, General!"
Shine nodded briefly and the officer immediately left the morgue, leaving Viona with a man who was a stranger to her.
When the man approached, Viona raised her hand in a salute, "Salute, General..." she said, but slowly her expression changed.
Viona's tears fell again as Shine came closer and hugged her, "Bro..." said Viona softly. She poured out her sadness in the arms of the young one-star general who turned out to be her brother.
"Okay, don't be too sad. They will suspect you more than this because of your closeness to that guy. You know how cold an interrogation room is, right?" Shine muttered softly, trying to make Viona calmer.
Viona started to let go of her hug and Shine helped wipe his sister's tears.
"Maybe this is punishment for a disobedient little sister like you. Instead of coming to me, you're just wandering around on your own like this," said Shine, ending up stroking Viona's hair.
"I'm sorry, bro..."
"Never mind, let's get out of here. Let's talk somewhere else," Shine said as he turned around and walked towards the front door.
"But I still want to be here, just for a moment," she asked softly.
Shine nodded, "Okay, I'll wait outside," he answered then left.
Viona now approached Major General Kenneth's body, 'Has your revenge been avenged, General? But why did you get to be like this?'
Viona could only cry silently and speak in her heart. She returned to Jansen's corpse.
'Sleep in peace, Jansen. From now on and forever, as you wish, you will continue to be with me. You will always be in my heart and mind,'
Viona's last teardrop was a sign of her willingness to let go of her little friend who meant so much to her.

After giving her final greetings to Jansen and Major General Kenneth, Viona now sat alone with Shine in the backyard of the hospital.
"How are you, Clover? How long has it been since we've seen each other, huh?" Shine started making small talk as if he wanted to keep his sister's sadness at bay.
"Bro, don't call me that name. My name is different here," Viona protested.
"No matter how beautiful your name is now, you are still Clover, my sweet sister," Shine smiled and started to spread his arms, "Come on, I'm not enough to hug you,"
Viona hugged her brother tightly again. But this time she didn't cry. She knew her brother would be sad seeing her tears.
"Bro, why are you here? You didn't know I was in town, did you?" Viona started asking questions.
"At first it wasn't. I just know you came here for a while and wish you came to my house. But unfortunately no, even for months you didn't give me any news,"
"What made me take a 4-hour flight because of the news I heard. There is a war between mafias and what's worse is that it happens in the city center. Moreover, one of the bodies found was a foreign national from Thailand. I had imagined it was…"
"Me?" Viona interrupted, "That's impossible. In front of you, I swore I didn't want to be a mafia, right? There is only enemy blood flowing on my hands, that is also because of my duty as a member of the military."
"But unfortunately you have given up your duties," this time it was Shine who interrupted Viona's words.
The atmosphere became silent.
"Can we not discuss that, bro? I don't want to add to my sadness," Viona said slowly.
"Then what made you play for so long in this city? Come on, just stay with me. I'm lonely, Clover." Shine asked again.
"There was a small job that Uncle Lily gave me. But it's not bad work. I was assigned to supervise a Taekwondo training studio for children. I will receive a reward, don't worry." Viona answered with a smile.
"Is Clover Garendra short of money, huh? Am I too stupid to believe that Uncle Lily just told you to take care of that? Do you think your brother is senile?" The question that sounded casual contained an interrogation for Viona.
"How much do you earn as a Taekwondo training studio manager, huh? If you come back to my house, I will pay you a big salary to be a shooting trainer for young soldiers in the military dormitory, you know?!" While gently stroking his sister's ear, Shine grumbled.
"Ouch… this hurts, bro. I'm too big for this!" Viona grimaced and whined. But after that, she laughed with her brother.
"Okay, come with me to one place. Some people miss you, they have been waiting for you to visit them," Shine got up and took his sister. The young general walked first in front of Viona.
Viona smiled and muttered to herself, 'I can't possibly tell you Uncle Lily's mission, bro. This is a secret related to the story of our past. Please let me uncover everything on my own…'
'And money matters? I want to earn money my way without your gift or our family. I'm a big girl, bro. I have to be independent…'
