Suri's vision blurred as the grip around her neck tightened, yet defiance simmered in her chest, surfacing as a wicked smile instead of a look of pain.

Despair clawed at her, threatening to engulf her, painting a future worse than death where she would be nothing more than a pawn in Paul's game. Yet, in that dark moment, she chose to embrace the pain, laughing softly through the chaos. 

With a sudden surge of disgust at the man for touching her, Suri spat on his face, her spit hitting the man's cheek. "You think you can break me? You have no idea what I'm capable of!"

Paul stepped closer, amusement flickering across his features as he looked at her with a twisted grin, a mixture of admiration and contempt. 

"Ah, my dear sister," he sneered, "it's cute how you cling to your bravado in the face of certain doom."
