Bob and the four other players—who knows how many were actually involved—were shamelessly bragging about what they had done to the villagers. They talked about it with laughter and without a hint of guilt, even planning to do it again.

Whatever punishment Broken had in store for them that night wasn't going to stop them. If anything, he was doing it as much for revenge as anything else. 

Was it childish? Maybe. He wasn't even 40 yet, so perhaps not quite wise enough to let it go. 

This was about venting, letting out the frustrations he had bottled up from his school days. Or maybe it was about what Bob had done to him at the convenience store. After all, Bob had fired Broken without any real reason!
