Aliya welcomed Selena inside her room with a warm smile. After all, according to her, everyone should get a second chance, and prying about what had been done could do nothing.
Selena walked behind Aliya while her glowing eyes never left her back.
'So you were hiding this from everyone...'
Selena could see a very dark matter making its way slowly through Aliya's magical circuits and sucking her life force slowly.
Selena never intended to apologize; it was just that when she and that hateful guy went to her office, she noticed something different about Aliya. When she was leaving her office, she saw something dark inside her.
At that time, she didn't understand what it was, but now she knows.
'It's a curse... A very unusual curse...'
Selena could see the dark matter moving from cell to cell, affecting the tissues which then were affecting the organ system.
'It's like it is alive and has its consciousness...'
"Would you like some tea?"
Aliya asked with a warm smile, and in response, Selena with the same smile just nodded her head.
The kitchen wasn't too far, so Selena could still see Aliya's back.
'There is something else... Some different mana... acting like a bottle knob stopping the pressure inside.'
Selena could see white mana resisting with all its might to stop the dark matter from moving further through the magic circuits to other body parts.
'...What will happen if this knob is opened by a bottle opener?'
Selena had a tingling question inside her mind, which for some reason, she wanted to find out about.

Suddenly, a voice echoed inside her mind and her eyes started to turn blue.

The voice constantly nagged her to open that blocked part.
'Stop it...'
Selena screamed inside her mind and the voices just stopped midway.
"Haaa!"
Selena took a sigh of relief as she held her head and her eyes started to change back to their original color.
"Here, it's your tea."
Aliya walked near her with two cups of tea as she placed one near her.
"Thank you, ma'am."
Selena picked up her cup and took a small sip from it and was quite impressed with the taste of the tea.
Selena saw Aliya elegantly drinking her tea, while her eyes were focused on Aliya's chest where she could see the dark matter crawling its way here and there and the mana trying its best to stop it.
'From her expression, I can tell she doesn't know about that mana inside her.'
The dark matter had numbed her whole magic circuits, so sensing a foreign mana inside her was quite difficult for her.
'Could it be the Headmaster... no, it can't be; the mana is too weak for that...'
Selena thought about many people who could have placed that mana inside her but no one tingled her mind.
'Then who could it be...'

Selena looked towards Aliya, who was finding the medicine for her, and then turned towards her cup, which still had some tea left in it.

That was the last thing Selena heard from that voice and everything went back to normal.
With a disappointed look on her face, she slowly touched Aliya's cup and sent a small amount of her mana into the cup.
'Her mana circuits are weak, so sensing this amount is nearly impossible, even for her.'
"Here, I found it. Sometimes I constantly have headaches, so I have these medicines. You can have it if you want."
Aliya, with a warm smile, gave her the medicine, which she accepted with a small smile.
"Thank you, ma'am, for hearing what I have to say."
"It's nothing, so you didn't like my tea or what?"
"Huh?"
"Well, you still didn't drink much, so I asked!!"
"No, it's just... okay, let's drink together."
"That's a good idea."
"Then cheers."
"Cheers."
Selena picked up her cup and drank the tea with a disappointed look on her face.
'I am sorry...'
"Selena Rem..."

Aliya spoke with a warm smile as she looked at her cup and then turned to Selena.
"So cheer up, you did nothing wrong."

Selena had a shocked look as for Aliya, after saying that, she drank the last bit of tea left in her cup with the same smile.
"I-I..."
"You should go now, it's late night, I don't want anyone to see you here."
Aliya spoke, and Selena just looked at her with a confused look.
"After all, I don't want to get complaints of favoritism, even if you are this year's prodigy student."
Aliya spoke, and Selena snapped out of her thinking, and with a small smile that showed her helplessness, she decided to leave.
"Ma'am."
"Yes!!"
"I am truly sorry for today and also thank you for that tea."
"It's okay. I will always be there for you, so if you need something, just remember me and I'll be there."
"...Yes..."
Saying that, Selena left Aliya's room and an unsettling silence fell in her room.
"...I should get back to bed..."
Aliya got up and changed into her night pajamas, and after washing the cups, she went back to bed.
As she closed her eyes, suddenly a wave of dizziness took over her and her head started to ache a little bit.
"I gave her all my medicines."
