Jake's POV

Coupled to the fact that I've been on the edge lately because of Carl seeing Scott and Celine together just aggravated my anger the other day after she rejected dinner I was about to go to my mother's garden when I saw the both of them standing so close that I growled at them.

Celine left Scott and I alone and I warned Scott to stay away from her,he was one with girls that's accurate. I might not accept Celine as my mate but she's still a pack member that lives under my roof.

Scott had refused to acknowledge my warning. I saw him with Celine in the garden again. They were laughing and playing. I was really angry isn't she supposed to stay away from him due to the fact that I'm her mate?

"You mean to say rejected mate." Carl said.

"Whatever." I replied.

I was going to send Scott far away this time. Let's see if he would have any spare time to come and play around in my house.

"It seems you've made a couple of friends now?" I asked Celine when she came to my room to do some cleaning.

Her scent was so intoxicating it was strawberry with a wisp of Rose.Carl had wanted to pin her down and claim her as his mate but I blocked him.

"I don't know what's wrong with you two, what's always wrong with humans?" Carl stated.

"What do you mean?" My eyes were on Celine as she was trying her possible best to ignore me while vacuuming.

"I've bonded with Rose already, I don't know why you too are finding it hard to accept each other." He continued.

"Who's Rose?"

"Her wolf we bonded when Celine passed out Celine does hold a great resentment towards you." Carl told me.

"It must be because I didn't accept her as my mate." I looked at Celine. If she wasn't weak and she had a royal origin I would have accepted her.

"Sometimes there's more to what you think you know." Carl said that and went back to my head.

"Cat got your tongue?" She was definitely ignoring me.

"I don't have friends." She said sharply and continued struggling with the duvet,the Hem of her clothes were slightly opened revealing her thighs. Emotions started to stir in me and I averted my gaze.

"Really you are one but a list?" I scoffed what about Scott.

I undid the tie I was knotting due to the intense heat bulging up,to make matters worse Celine came to me and snatched the tie from me.

"What are you doing?" Does she want to die? But having her close to me made me inhale her scent.

"You're doing it the wrong way." She was referring to the tie I nodded and let her do her thing. Her eyes were so captivating it was an ocean blue that I'm sure she could hypnotize anyone with it.

Her skin brushed past mine for a few seconds and I felt electrified,it affected me and I know it affected her also because of the way she looked into my eyes.

"I'm done and that's how you knot a tie." She withdrew from me and went back to what she was doing.

"How come you know how to knot a tie?" I asked her.

"Shouldn't it be a normal thing?" She replied.

"No… considering the fact that you were a slave?" I paused. I shouldn't have used the word slave considering the fact that he helped me out with the tie.

"Don't you have a summit to attend Alpha Jake." She looked at me angrily and I went to her.

"Ignoring the question, right?" I went to her and she wanted to run away but the door was locked.

"I just find it's easy to do,I don't know how." I had her against the wall,I could feel her heart rate spike.

"Really?" I stepped away from her and removed the duvet which she had been struggling with.

"Jake the car is prepared." Steel came inside the room.

"Look who we have here." Steel waved at Celine.

"Hi." She was smiling sheepishly.

"You know I've missed you." Steel said, and I growled loudly at his words.

What was with them acting all cutey cutey around her.

"Someone's being paranoid." Carl rolled his eyes.

"I'm not being paranoid, I'm just trying to make sure things are in order." I frowned.

"In order indeed." Carl laughed.

"Let's just go." I walked out of the room, annoyed , steel followed suit and I went for the summit.

Chloe, Annabelle and I were seated for dinner when her father came visiting. Celine and the pack chef came in with the trays of food she has been doing a lot of chores lately.

"It's good to have you here, Elder Sullivan." I greeted Annabelle's father.

Celine had arranged the cutleries on the table she was placing carefully so it won't make a sound. I smiled at her orderliness.

Sullivan was one of the elders in the council and one of the respected members of the pack but he was witty.

"I decided to come visit, it's been awhile since we have a father to child talk." Here he goes again.

Chloe was annoyed. She looked at me and she wanted me to correct him.I know how she was feeling that no one can take the place of our father in our hearts.

"So what is it you want to talk about,is it about the pack matters?" I made sure my countenance was looking like I didn't want to have a conversation. I knew where this conversation was going. Anabelle had whined about us getting married for some reason. I didn't want Celine to listen to this conversation.

Celine carefully placed the plate in front of me. Our eyes met and she smiled nervously.

"Of course not!" Sullivan laughed.

"Then what else?" I asked him.

"Your marriage…I came here to talk about your marriage with Anabelle, it's time for you to have her as your Luna" Sullivan replied and I lost it, releasing my Lycan aura.
