"Aaron!" Margaret exclaimed, her voice laced with concern as she rushed to my side. Her eyes widened in horror at the sight of my bleeding face. With a tender touch, she cleaned the blood from my skin using her handkerchief.
Her eyes locked onto mine, filled with a mix of fear and worry. "Oh, Aaron, I'm so sorry," she whispered, her voice trembling.
My stepmother feigned concern, "Honey, calm down, he's wounded." But my father's face reddened with rage.
"If not for your mother, I would have stabbed you right now, and no one could do anything about it!" he bellowed.
Margaret opened her mouth to speak, but I quickly covered it with my hand, my voice low and urgent. "Don't say anything."
Elvis's laughter echoed through the room, "This is love," he sneered.
