Chapitre 4: Chapter 4 : The Essential 5 Jutsu

1.5 Years later
' and done.' thought Ren as he looked over the paper he had just written. Ren looked over the answer sheet one last time as he handed it over to a silver-haired man.
"Earlier than expected. Are you sure you have checked everything?" asked Mizuki in a kind voice. Ren scoffed internally 'You sound kind but your eyes are showing a different face.' thought Ren as he looked at the man's eyes which were staring at him condescendingly.
Ren didn't say anything but just nodded. Just then a man with brown hair and a horizontal scar on his face entered the room. "Ah, It seems I was correct in arriving early. Come, Ren let us start with your physical tests," said Iruka as he motioned Ren to follow him as he left the room.
'He doesn't matter, my tests are graded by Iruka after all.' Ren didn't even bother looking at Mizuki as he followed Iruka. Soon both of them stood near a log which was painted like a bullseye.
Iruka gave Ren a nod as Ren took out 5 kunai from his back pocket and started throwing it at the target one by one. All of them landed in the dead centre of the bullseye. which made Iruka impressed.
"Good aim, Ren now the shuriken. " Ren did as he was told and threw the shuriken now four of them hit the centre with one of them missing it by a little. Iruka nodded and then told Ren to warm up for running. Just as Ren began to stretch his limbs Iruka went near the target as he looked at the kunai and shuriken.
'He has good aim but lacks strength.' thought Iruka as he noticed that only the tip of the kunai and shuriken went into the wooden post. 'The only reason it is still sticking into the wood is because of how sharp it is.' he came up with a conclusion as he looked at the sharpness of the kunai.
' At least he conditions it well enough to overcome his strength and weakness. ' Thought Iruka as he went back to Ren. Ren looked like had stretched for long enough and was ready to run. Iruka told Ren to start running as he began to the timer he had in his hand.

Ren stood calmly next to Iruka who had just graded his test. " This concludes your fifth-year test. You have passed," said Iruka as he smiled at Ren. Ren felt himself relax a bit as he had been waiting for the result.
" Now that you have completed the fifth-semester test. I will now teach you the essential five jutsu.". Iruka stood up from his desk and said "The first just you need to learn is the water-condenser jutsu, it is used to collect water vapour from the air." Iruka went through the hand signs slowly making sure Ren could see it properly.
Slowly drops of water started to form in front of Iruka, who had just placed a cup directly below it. After a few seconds, the cup was half filled. Iruka then released his hand sign and then looked at Ren who had just picked up the cup to smell the water.
"Iruka sensei, What you did was elemental manipulation right, how can I do it, I don't even know about having water affinity?" Asked Ren a bit confused at the jutsu.
Iruka looked a bit impressed at Ren's question " Oh... Ren have you read even the 6th year syllabus already? Elemental affinities are taught in the sixth year after all." Ren just laughed a bit as he scratched his head looking a bit embarrassed.
Iruka just shook his head smiling internally about ren. ' This kid is embarrassed about studying ahead. If I had known this I would have sent him the 6th-year books earlier.' Though Iruka wondered how Ren got the 6th-year textbook, but just thought he had borrowed it from the 6th-year students 'After all they don't seem to read it much' thought Iruka a bit annoyed about the students of his own class.
'Oops, forgot they were taught in the sixth year. I should be more careful.' Thought Ren as he let Iruka misunderstand the situation.
' I haven't even read the fifth-year book properly, After all, Eris provides me with the better source for chakra-related things. ' thought Ren as he hadn't even bothered to study the academy books, only taking a look at it to make sure he didn't give unwanted information.
"Like you said Ren, Collecting water from air is related to water affinity but this jutsu doesn't require it because, through this jutsu, we are just forcing air to condense through chakra. There is no elemental manipulation involved, Because of that the water which is in the cup may look safe to drink but it is not. You have to boil this water to make it safe as currently, it has a high content of trapped nitrogen along with water as air is filled with nitrogen molecules and a bit other elements too." said Iruka as he kept the cup on the table.
Ren nodded as he understood it. ' So if we boil, the water nitrogen molecules and others will escape the water and only water and a bit of other elements will remain as it is the only one which can exist in liquid form '
"Which brings us to our next jutsu, Spark-fire jutsu ." Iruka held a piece of paper in his hands and again ran through some hand signs.

The paper held in Iruka's hands caught on fire and then burnt up leaving only the smell of burnt paper. Ren didn't question it this time as he already had an idea of how it was done.
"The next jutsu is the scent-eraser jutsu. While the name itself is self-explanatory, It doesn't remove all smells it only works on mild scents but even then a skilled shinobi or an inzuka can detect it and this jutsu can only be targeted on the caster itself." Said Iruka as he did the jutsu and got rid of the burnt smell near him.
Ren nodded making sure to memorize everything Iruka had said. Iruka then took Ren outside to the ground to show him the next jutsu.
"The jutsu you will learn now is Ground Mole justu. It is used to dig a hole in the ground quickly without using any kunai or other equipment. It is mainly used to set a trap for animals and to bury things quickly and efficiently " Iruka did the jutsu and slammed his hands on the ground. Where he had kept his hand the mud moved aside creating a perfect cylindrical hole.
"The last jutsu you will learn now is called the signal flare jutsu. This is mainly used as a signal to call in reinforcements or to scare away animals." Iruka ended his hand signs by doing a tiger sign and immediately his two pointer fingers began to glow and then shot up a bright flame-like light into the air.
Ren noticed that the light was not affected by the wind much and had reached very high. 'Definitely not fire.' Ren was about to ask how it was done but Iruka was faster.
"This jutsu is done by imagining a flame shooting up the air. The theory behind this justu is Jonin level so no need for it now," said Iruka noticing Ren's questioning look as he thought that Ren wouldn't understand it. 'Even most chunin can't understand it.' thought Iruka to himself.
'So Yang manipulation.' guessed Ren after thinking about it for a bit.
Iruka then asked Ren to try one of the jutsu. Ren nodded and slowly went through the hand signs for the water condenser jutsu.
"water-condenser jutsu" Having said that Ren held his hands in the monkey sign and then fully pushed his chakra out.
*drop*
Only two drops of water condensed and then fell on the ground. Ren huffed exhaustedly as he was low on chakra. Iruka patted Ren on the back and said " That was a good start, it normally takes a few tries to get it right but I am sure you will get the hang of it if you practice it more." Though Iruka was concerned a bit about how Ren had exhausted his chakra doing a single E-rank jutsu he didn't voice it.
Iruka told Ren to go rest and to come to him if he had any doubts. Ren thanked Iruka and then went back home.
'Hey Eris, Why did my chakra get exhausted so fast? I thought I had almost recovered.'
[You have almost recovered host. You were exhausted because your chakra network is abnormal. You have a good amount of both spiritual and physical energy but your chakra network isn't widening.]
'what?' Ren asked a bit confused about the last part.

The chakra mainly combines at the navel, circulates through the chakra network and is stored there forming the chakra reservoir. Jutsu are performed by shaping the process in your mind while chakra follows certain paths in your network, through the use of hand signs and manifests out to the world. I just had to rework the entire chakra theory a bit to suit my story, So I am wondering if I should make the chakra and the jutsu-related things detailed (i.e. like the explanation of the water condenser jutsu.) or should I keep it brief.
