Chapitre 69: HOW WE MET
Although my memory is sort of hazy because it was a very long time ago and I was about nine years old, I still remember the day that both Tetsuo and I crossed paths. I was in the backyard of the mansion that my father owned playing catch with Haruko and on that day it was really cold to the point where we had to wear scarfs and mittens as well as a snow jacket and hat in order to keep warm.
We were heading towards the winter season so that's the reason why the temperatures have dropped drastically. That same day as both Haruko and I were about to head back inside where it was warm. We saw a boy who was barely able to stand on his feet, looked malnourished and wearing rags and covered in dirt like he haven't had a bath in years.
Though he looked weak and hopeless wandering aimlessly in the cold weather he held on to both a worn out basketball and a little girl who was not as dirty as him and the look in her eyes was filled with certainty that she'll be alright. Tetsuo, I'm really hungry said Usagi as she shivered and Trembles due to the cold and pulled Tetsuo's shirt to get his attention. There's no need to worry Usagi as long as I'm still breathing I'll always find a way to make you happy, one day you'll never have to worry about being hungry kay? Said Tetsuo as he smiled, patted Usagi on the hand and suddenly collapsed to the ground.
Big brother? Tetsuo are you hearing me? Get up , now is not the time to joke around, im really hungry. Tetsuo, Tetsuo!! Screamed Usagi with tears in her as she tried to waking her brother up. I was a child like them back then and I've never felt suffering like that and I didn't even know what they have been to before we've met but I couldn't just leave them like that out in the cold, I felt compelled to help them and I did just that.
Haruko go inside and get some blankets and some snacks please and hurry said Sachiko. Alright said Haruko as she hurriedly ran inside to retrieve what her sister told her to. Listen, I'm going to help you and your brother now so please help me move him inside okay? Yes said Usagi as she tried to stay strong.
Me and his little sister dragged him inside and into my doll house, he was really cold and he was near footed and even though he was unconscious he held on to the basketball. He's going freeze to death if I don't do something quick said Sachiko to herself as she took off her scarf, winter jacket, mittens and hat and put them on Tetsuo.
Here you go Sachiko said Haruko as she hand her the blanket. Haruko give me these please said Sachiko as she took the winter coat off of Haruko and wrapped it around Usagi and then wrapped them both under a thick blanket. Here take this, I want you to eat it to replenish your strength and when your older brother wakes up give him this to eat as well and both of you have to hide out here no matter what okay? Said Sachiko to Usagi as both her and Haruko left the doll house.
As dawn came both me and Haruko took extra breakfast just so we could give it to them. Tetsuo who was exhausted woke up to see his younger sister sleeping under a blanket. I can't recall what happened. Oh right, i passed out and left poor little Usagi alone, I'm glad that she's safe said Tetsuo as he pats her on the head causing her to wake up. Sorry, i didn't mean to wake you up said Tetsuo.
Big brother you're awake, i was so worried said Haruko as she grips Tetsuo into a tight hug with tears flowing down her cheeks. I'm sorry Usagi, i won't make you worry like that again and i promise that I'll always be here for you no matter what.
You're finally awake said Sachiko as she and Haruko walked over. Who are you guys? Asked Tetsuo. My name is Sachiko Takahashi and we found you outside our gate passed out and with your sister crying. So we decided to help you and because it was cold we brought you a blanket and we gave you those so you could keep warm in my doll house. Oh I see, thank you so much for your help.
I also brought you breakfast as well so that you may gain back your strength, please take it said Sachiko. Tetsuo then took the plate from Sachiko and started eating with every bite a stream of tears rolled down his cheeks due to stress built up over the couple of months both him and his sister had been struggling. Thank you guys so much for this I'm truly grateful said Tetsuo. I told you my name, could you tell me yours? Asked Sachiko.
My name is Tetsuo Kawaguchi and this is my little sister Usagi Kawaguchi. Okay Tetsuo, I'm seeing that you're really dirty right now and you'll need to take a bath however, I'd have to sneak you guys in in order for that to happen. So after we come back from school we'll be the only ones home which would be the perfect time for you to take a shower.
So just sit tight until we get back said Sachiko. I also brought some snacks so you guys can eat until we get back said Haruko as she handed Tetsuo something for him and his sister to snack on for the rest of the day.

After school as ended both myself and Haruko rushed home so that we could assist them with showering. Upon reaching the gate we saw something mesmerizing and that was you dribbling the worn out basketball you had. Haruko was very impressed and her interest in basketball peaked on that very same day.
