‘‘You dated another woman named Kelly?’’ I asked in disbelief. He was just sitting there casually as if it’s nothing to him. He’s oblivious that my heart was being stabbed repeatedly.

‘‘Yeah…’’ Cheol cracked a grin. ''And it she's one of the bests...''

My heart sank knowing that he moved on from me easily by engaging in many relationships, yet it had taken him years to get over Stella.

I instantly felt silly for sulking for years. My guilty conscience wouldn't allow me to get any sleep since I was constantly dwelling on the fact that I had caused him so much pain… and all the while, it didn't matter much to him.

‘‘So, Miss Matthews… are you ready to start working in MM Manufacturing and Industries?’’ I was about to ask him another question when he interrupted me.

I nodded. ‘‘By the way, I want to let you know that mom’s inviting you to have dinner at the house tonight…’’

The invitation made his brows furrow. ‘‘I can’t... I have a prior engagement.’’
