KELLY'S POV

My father's voice could be heard at the bottom of the stairs, saying, "What took you so long?" He already had his coat and shoes on, while I'd forgotten to put both of those items in my room before leaving.

“Oh…wait!” I hurried back to my closet to get my black boots and my pink coat. ‘I’m sorry…”

Dad just managed a brief chuckle before strolling towards the front door and ordering me to follow him to the garage, where all of the cars were parked, which I dutifully did.

I ran after my father to his Audi R8 and jumped in with anticipation, still unsure of what we’re going to do. "Dad, could you please tell me where you're taking me today?"

He started the car and put his seatbelt on, which served as a reminder for me to do the same. "Well, we're going to take some time to ourselves and do something fun. Take it as quality father-daughter time.”
