YOO-MI’s POV

“What did he say?” I asked Cheol as soon as he got back from answering his phone. I knew it was Jeonghan, I overheard it even though he tried to lower his voice.

“He’s…uh--- Jeonghan has something to do..in the office. Yes—he’s in the office right now.“ he stuttered.

I can’t help but frown as Cheol tried to lie to me. He’s a bar top notcher lawyer who tends to be investigative, which means that they are quite inquisitive and curious people that often like to spend time alone with their thoughts. Lawyers are smart people who can construct a sentence or paragraph in one seat. That was what I thought but watching Cheol right now makes me want to change my perspective about them.

“Get out Cheol.” I said softly.

“What? But I—“

“I said get out! I want to be alone!” I screamed but he stayed still, he looked at me pitifully.

“No Yoo-Mi, I promised Jeonghan to watch over you until he come back here.” He said, his chocolate eyes staring into mine.
