Quirky Quirks
A doctor was sitting in a room with a girl named Kaori, examining her left arm, which was wrapped in bandages. The room was silent, so the doctor tried to start a conversation. Beside the doctor were her parents, Yumeko and Yami.
"Ahm, Kaori, can you tell me what you felt when your quirk awakened?"
The doctor asked, prompting Kaori to look at her left arm, which had been in a demonic mode a few minutes ago and was now wrapped in bandages. No, no one had wrapped her arm in bandages; it had wrapped itself.
"Well, I felt like my arm was on fire, like it was in flames, and then it exploded like a balloon pricked by a needle, and then it didn't hurt anymore."
Thinking about the pain made Kaori a bit emotional, and her left arm started to emit a faint red and black glow. The bandages loosened slightly.
The doctor watched Kaori's left arm with interest and pulled out a notepad.
"So, from this, we can say that the quirk probably has two phases. One where it is wrapped in bandages, and the other where it transforms into a claw. Kaori, could you punch that panel over there?"
Kaori approached a small panel and punched it with her bandaged left hand.

The panel had an imprint of her hand. The doctor looked at it incredulously.
"So, brute strength in the left hand, even when it's not in the second phase."
The doctor started taking notes in his notepad. Once he finished, he closed it.
"Kaori, now we'll do several tests to understand your quirk better. If you behave and complete all tasks, you'll get a lollipop or candy of your choice."
Kaori nodded. She underwent several tests: running, ball throwing, X-rays, EKGs, and many more.
The doctor started typing into a computer, in a file named "Fumikage."

Thinking and Intelligence: Smarter, but not due to the quirk.
Quirk: Left hand, which has two phases. Its phases can change based on emotions.
Phase 1: The left hand is wrapped in bandages, which cannot be removed. They are part of her body. Under X-ray tests, it was found that there are no bones or muscles under the bandages. What is under the bandages? Unknown. How can she move her left hand normally despite the absence of muscles and bones? Unknown.
Phase 1: The left hand has abnormal strength. It produced a strength that isn't normal even for children with strength quirks. Under high stress or intense emotion, the left hand enters the second phase.
Phase 2: Still unknown. According to the family's description, it looks like a monster's claw or, more specifically, a demon's. It emits red and black colors. It looks like it is made of fire, but according to the quirk owner, it is not made of fire.

Usually, quirks are named by parents. Sometimes, children name them, but those names are often too childish.
"I want to name my quirk myself."
The doctor looked at her parents, who nodded their approval.
"So, what will your quirk's name be?"
Kaori looked at her parents and made up her mind.
"Grasp of Ebony."
The doctor looked at her for a moment. He knew the girl was smart, but he didn't expect her to come up with such a name.

The next day, the usual trio, Kaori, Takeyama, and Hiroki, were together. Two of them were looking at Kaori's hand.
"Hahaha, look at my left hand, it holds a secret that I mustn't tell anyone, or it will endanger the existence of this planet."
Kaori struck a dramatic pose. Takeyama and Hiroki started clapping.
""Ooooh""
"Unfortunately, I'm still the only one of the three of us without a quirk. W-what if I never get one?"
Hiroki looked down, fearing the worst. He wanted to be a hero, and his friends already had quirks.
Both girls looked at each other.
"So what if you don't have a quirk, we're friends and friends help each other. Besides, we all want to be heroes."
Hiroki lifted his head and looked at Kaori.
"Really?"
"Of course, but still, I think you'll have a quirk. Take and I were just lucky to get our quirks early."
Takeyama put her fist out in front of her.
"No matter what happens, we'll never be apart and will be friends forever, in life and even in death."
Kaori and Hiroki put their fists out and joined them together.
"You learned that from my dad, didn't you?"
Kaori looked at Takeyama with a blank stare.
Takeyama just nodded.
"Yeah, recently my mom and I went to the theater and your dad said something similar."

'My name is Fumikage Kaori, and I'm just six years old. I have to say, a lot has happened.
'Shortly before Hiroki's fifth birthday, he got his quirk, and I must say, he has quite an interesting quirk. His quirk is called "Food Creation." Simply put, he can create food.'
Kaori had just woken up and was looking at her parents, who were more excited than usual.
"What's going on?"
Her parents looked at Kaori with smiles.
"Kaori, you're going to have a little sibling."
Kaori froze at this news.
'Wait, a younger sibling? When did they even have the time for that?'
Both parents started hugging each other and getting into a lovy dovy mood.

"Take, Hiroki, I'm going to have a little sibling."
Hiroki didn't seem too interested, but Takeyama was quite keen on it.
"Will it be a boy or a girl? I hope it's a girl because then I can dress her up like a doll and put her in different outfits."
Kaori looked at Takeyama and made a mental note to keep her future sibling away from Takeyama.
"Uh, Take, you know it's my sibling and not yours, right?"
"Eh?"
"I thought it was ours."
