I nodded in response, intending to stand up and take my leave.

"Kiss me," he said suddenly.

My mind raced, caught off guard. Why was I surprised? Wasn't that what I had signed up for?

"Uh, okay? So sudden. Right now?" I stammered, struggling to process the right word for the situation.

"Come on, right now." He brought his hand to my ear, and I slowly shut my eyes to his touch.

His hand caressed my hair before trailing to my chin, gently directing my face towards his.

I peeked through my lashes and saw his pupils were dilated as I moved closer.

Our lips met, and he parted his slightly over mine, just about to deepen the kiss, when a nerve-grating voice cut through the music that blessed our ears from the outside, and a loud knock followed.

"Open this door, Noah." A voice sounded.

We paused, our eyebrows furrowed, wondering who it could be.
