"A trance?" Di Tian frowned, then realized it must have been the period of time he had been having that conversation with that mysterious Senior in the starry space. "For how long?"

"About ten seconds or thereabout," Zhao Fu said, eyeing Di Tian curiously. "What happened? Were you having a bout of enlightenment?"

Di Tian didn't answer him immediately, involuntarily sinking into thought.

"My apologies, I shouldn't have asked," Zhao Fu hurriedly spoke at that moment, seemingly realizing that he might have overstepped. He didn't know that Di Tian hadn't even taken his question to mind.

Unlike normal cultivators, Di Tian was relatively new to the cultivation world and hadn't yet developed much aversion to being asked 'sensitive' questions that encroached on his privacy as a cultivator.

"I'll excuse you now," Zhao Fu stood up abruptly, alerting Di Tian. "Do you have a jade transmission slip, so I can add you to my list?"
