Chapitre 38: Alexandre's crusade (2)

"Bu! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! It is funny though. Hehehe! That cladding that Alexandre is wearing the he calls it a suit, it makes him look like an excited dick. Look at that rope that he has tied around his neck... Was that really necessary! Does he want to strangle himself?"

"Hey buddy! His majesty also came up with something called panties and butt-huggers. What do you think about them?"

"Well... Those things are as stupid as the way they look. Look at me, I can assure you that I am not wearing anything under this robe of mine and I am not planning to change that anytime soon. How else do you expect me to pee when I wear that thing. It would delay the whole thing and make me to pee on myself... Moreover, what about when my chick Luiza wants me to sleep with her? Do you know that Luiza will be very annoyed when I delay to put my thing in her, just because of this stupid thing called butt-hugger. Fuck the butt-huggers and the panties. I won't wear it nor buy it! I will also not allow Luiza to wear those panties. Fuck the panties!"

Anyway, Alexandre's frown continued to deepen the more he heard what the crowd was discussing, thus, he couldn't take it anymore and he simply wanted to finish this whole thing and leave.

He had thought that the people would come running as they compete among themselves to buy what his majesty had delivered to them but the outcome was completely different. However that was not what annoyed Alexandre the most, it was the suit that he was wearing. He had looked at his reflection on the surface of the stagnant water and thought that he looked cool but these people were saying that he looked like an excited dick. This made Alexandre utterly incensed and he wanted nothing but to run away and hide from this shame. He was beginning to be skeptical about this design that Virtya came up with.

But it was not that Alexandre's new cladding was stupid it was just that these people were always opposed to what the king had made and unlike the farming tools that they needed urgently, something like the underpants was not that basic.

Alexandre stomped his feet on the roof of the carriage and continued but his anger was very conspicuous in that it destroyed his marketing image which made the people to mock him even more.

"The cladding(suit) like what I am wearing is going for 1 gold coin! No discount! No selling on credit!" Alexandre hollered angrily while holding several suits of different shades for the people to see.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Did you hear that guys? 1 gold coin? Man... I can buy a horse or a small piece of land outside Whiddiff city with 1 gold coin. What is Alexander talking about? Is he pulling our legs or it is that I am the one who is hearing things?"

"Fuck him and those damn stuffs that he is holding. I will eat shit and kill myself if I buy that suit."

"It's good that I don't have a gold coin anywhere around me, lest I get confused and buy that thing by accident."

Alexandre was so angry that he nearly laughed. He didn't even bother to hear what the crowd was saying anymore and continued,

"This hood is going for 30 silver coins while this cargo pant is going for 50 silver coins..." When Alexandre finished giving out the prices of the merchandise from the textile factory, he heaved a sigh and waited but no one came to buy a single item of cloth.

As one should know, a simple garment that was sold at Whiten market was merely around 30 or 50 copper coins but the clothes that king Virtya designed were set at a ridiculous price in that the people refused to buy any of them.

Seeing the looks of the people, Alexandre was not moved, Virtya had told him to only advertise, even if the people would not welcome these new pieces of clothes, they would later welcome them when they saw several people among them began to wear them. Virtya had already sold a few pieces to the people in the leadership circle and they liked it very much what they were wearing before made them look like beggars as compared to the new design of clothes especially the overly expensive set of clothes called the suit. The suit made them shine as if they were the royalties themselves. A person like Vlad Levitsky managed to buy ten suits while Dimitri, the duke of Weskesh managed to buy three suits. There were other leaders who didn't attend to Virtya's invitation like the duke of Lithao Province thus, Alek missed to buy any of the merchandise.
