A sick plan
The group arrived at a barren Island. It was not that big. And considering the Vendor Island was surrounded by the ships of marines and World government, it was obviously a trap.
Maki sensed the powerful presence surrounding Kureha in the middle of the island. Wanted why did choose the island because if they really fight here, then they will quickly lose foot hold.
"Brace yourself."
That's the only warning Roxx and Roma got before Maki started flexing her haki.
And that flexing was enough to take down most of the marines and ordinary canon fodders around The Island. Most would be an under statement as the only people conscious on the island were, the five elders, Demian, Kureha, Roxx, Roma and Maki.
Her haki was enough to send shock waves throughout the ocean and make the entire Island tremble. The display of power was spectacular.
This time the five elders didn't bother to flex there conqueror's haki. Since they have already another plan.
As Kureha became visible, Maki's eyes widened. Her future vision showed her a very nasty future. And if she avoids it then her friend was going to die. At that moment the only thing came out of her mouth was "Fuck !!!"
Maki didn't have time to think about countering the future that she saw. Sometimes the damnd life doesn't give you any convenient choice. And this time it is the exact case with Maki. She moved immediately.
Saint Ju Peter has made a perfect plan to counter someone very powerful like Maki. He have taken everything into account from the description of her fight against Saint Topman Warcury.
Ju Peter moved as soon as he saw Maki. Seeing the elder Move Demian also made his own move.
As soon as Ju Peter moved, saint Topman Warcury and Saint V Nusjuro also moved. V. Nusjuro was the only one among the five elders with future sight. So he was very crucial in this plan in order to correctly predict the movement of Maki.
Although at the beginning, the main goal of the five elders was to capture Roxx and kill Roma, they changed their goal after their plan started. De decided to get rid of the main threat first. As long as Maki is dead, no one will be able to escape from there clutches.
The attack was unavoidable. It was perfectly tiemed. Maki sucker punched Warcury away who was in his hybrid form. Maki wanted to rescue Kureha, and the only way she could do it was to stay in her human form and take the attack that was coming for Kureha. She didn't know why she was doing this. But her body was moving on it's own trying to save her friend.
Second was V. Nusjuro. She deflected his sword attack very easily with her bare hands. But by that time, Ju Peter has already changed his target from Maki to Kureha.
Maki greeted her teeth knowing what was about to come. She didn't know why she was doing it. A conqueror's Haki coated kick was enough to deflect the attack of the elder.

But despite her efforts, the inevitable still happened.

What's the most important thing in a person's life ?
Wealth ? Fame ? Power ?
Maybe, or maybe not.
It depends on individual perspective. The importance in once life, usually turns into a goal or a dream.
In my case I was living for Revenge. Vengeance was the only thing I was living for. Or maybe not.
I looked at the sea stone blade piercing through my stomach. Moment like these makes me think seriously about my life and the choices I have made so far.
After getting freed and killing saint Figerland Gingerling, and the other world nobels, my Revenge should be over. But it didn't. My heart still continued to burn.
I was still confused.
Why did I make eradicating every single celestial dragon, my goal in my life ?
To save the world ? The world will be definitely a better place without those pigs. But did I care about the world ? I remembered the first reason why I got captured by that fuck face in the first place.
Common people. My father's own co-worker turned against him.
I have been confused about my life. I have eaten fellow humans.
Even if more than half of them are celestial Dragons, at the end of the day they were homo sapiens.
My mind was already working faster than a v12 custom made Supra to think about my own life. Because the decision I will take here could probably end my life. So I have to think everything carefully.
It is very complicated.
I am certainly not a hero. And I genuinely didn't want to be one. And celestial Dragons are not the only reason why the world is hell. It is in human nature.
When there is oppression, people will seek freedom.
When there is suffering, people will seek pleasure.
When there is bad, there is also good.
I didn't want to be a hero. I just wanted to kill the celestial Dragons because I wanted to do it. There is no more complicated reason behind my action. I ate them, because deep inside, I was traumatized. But eating them made me the monster they wanted to make of me.
At the end it was not worth it.
But that doesn't mean I didn't want to kill them.
I looked at the girl who has stabbed me. It was none other than Kureha.
I had seen this coming from mile away. But I couldn't avoid it. Or more like I didn't avoid it. If I would have avoided it then Kureha could have died. I have to give it to the 5 geezers for making such a perfect plan.
Everything that has happened in the last 15 minutes has forced me to rethink about my life.
At the end I came to a rather simple conclusion.
Let's just stop giving any fuck !
I want to kill the celestial Dragons.
I have yet to fulfill my promise to my mother.
And Kureha was my friend. So leaving her behind was not an option.
Considering all these things, I made my priority clear.
I swiftly knocked down Kureha and took out the sea stone weapon from my stomach.
I looked at the five geezers infront of me.
"Oi ! Roxx ! Take your granddaughter and fuck off ! I have a party to attend !"
