Chapitre 8: Laura
The three of them made their way down the long hallways of the mansion all practically glued to one another which caused them to attract a lot of attention.
In response Rogue was ecstatic and kept showing it by clinging onto Alexander. She of course made sure to be careful to avoid skin contact, so as to temporarily not reveal her new ability.
In the process she periodically even let out unexpected sounds of happiness ranging from a cute soft "Hehe~♡" to a sensual "Mngh~♡" which sounded far too much like a moan to be let out in such a public place.
Jean however was in a more annoying and difficult situation because they were infact "out in public" and as such....
'(Miss perfect finally becoming human?)'
'(Didn't she just say that she didn't want to date?)'
'(Fucking show-off)'
'(Wonder what she wants from him)'
'(Are we gonna have the schools first three-way couple?)'
'(What's up with Rogue?)'
'(Why do they look so....slutty)'
'(Are they being forced to do this)'
'(It should have been me!)'
'(Can't believe she's wearing her supersuit everywhere...)'
'(What's up with his eyes....creepy)'
'(He looks hot! Should throw away those two and come to me. Maybe I should....)'
She was bombarded with not only the emotions of everyone around but also with a near constant stream of their random thoughts at varying volumes and intensities.
Some were positive of course but the vast majority was in some way negative or at least slightly offensive or annoying.
Especially when she heard some people thinking that Alexander had brainwashed both her and Rogue.
'(Should go tell the professor...something definitely isn't right here)'
'(How did he do it...?)'
'(Did he already fuck them!? Fucking sluts)'
'(Definitely bainwashing....or blackmail. Need to make sure that he doesn't get near -----)'
Worst of all she couldn't even really hold it against them because from the perspective of everyone who didn't know of his abilities they barely knew anything about each other.
Logically it truly didn't make sense for the 3 of them to be so close after such little time but even her understanding of that didn't stop her slowly rising anger and annoyance.
Then just before she could project her thoughts of 'Mind your business' into their heads she felt Alexander's lips land on her right cheek.
"Try to focus on the silence of mine and Anna's mind if you can♡" he whispered while now holding Rogue's gloved hand "Don't worry about their thoughts and opinions even if things go bad we can find a solution, together~♡"
Those words helped her a lot and even gave way to a mischievous side that no one was aware of as she locked eyes with a particularly jealous person before kissing Alexander, seemingly trying to explore his throat with her tongue.
"...?♡" -Alexander
"Wow♡" -Rogue
Unfortunately it only made some others support the idea of brainwashing even more due to the fact that he had leaned towards her and whispered into her ear, however thanks to the emotions Jean felt from her two partners she managed to ignore all of that and simply smiled.
She then started leading the shocked but love filled duo of Alexander and Rogue towards where she had found Laura to be.
That showed the benefits of her mind reading because simply through the stray thoughts caught by her accidental mind reading she had found the person they were looking for.
Yet since neither Rogue nor Alexander knew that, Rogue decided to ask about it while unknowingly focusing her gaze on the relaxed and mischievous smile that had overtaken Jean's face "So umm...where are we heading to..?♡"
Both Alexander and Jean of course took notice of the tone change in her voice and decided to ignore her question.
"Aww our Anna wants a test drive of Jean's mouth~?♡" -Alexander
"Wha-?♡" -Rogue
The two of them collaborated masterfully to circumvent Rogue's shock while simultaneously leading her along with their group to take a swift turn, one that lead them to a place where they wouldn't be seen or even easily heard.
They then proceeded to trap her, first by the actions of Alexander who moved her hands behind her back and simultaneously hugged her from behind.
And then by Jean who pushed them both against a wall before grabbing Rogues face and burying her in a flurry of passionate kisses, while periodically looking into Alexander's eyes and touching him.
After the kisses ended they all collectively came to a silent agreement to try and hold back when it came to intimate actions, which allowed them to reach their goal without further distractions, despite the fact that Rogue's legs were still slightly quivering from the intense moment of passion.
Once they reached the garage they were met with a sad looking Laura which caused both Rogue and Alexander to turn to Jean who smiled sadly before walking upto the "wounded animal" that was cleaning away some of her own blood.
That in turn allowed Alexander to slightly remember what he knew of X-23.
Created and trained to be a weapon, forced to kill the only people that had actually cared for her and just generally only given the choice of "Kill willingly when ordered to or be forced to kill" It was extremely sad in his opinion and he very much related to her.
Sure he wasn't controlled or forced to kill but he understood the struggles of seemingly being unable to die, to be in pain and not have a way out.
As such he followed Jean "Hey Laura!" who tried to be cheerful and ignore what had obviously happened despite simultaneously helping her deal with the blood that decorated the floor and some of her clothes
But Alexander on the other hand simply walked upto and locked eyes with her before starting what looked like a staring contest, which caused Jean and Rogue to become slightly nervous as they felt intensity radiating off of the two of them.
What Jean managed to figure out by hearing Laura's thoughts was that she apparently felt him to be "her kind" a wounded predator and due to that was trying to test him.
And even without being able to read his mind Jean managed to infer some potential reasons for Alexander's actions.
Afterall there was no way that any "past" version of herself would fall in love with and give out vital information to a stupid insensitive asshole 'Is he getting her mind off of things and trying to earn her trust..?'
Her guess of course wasn't entirely correct but it wasn't incorrect either which was proven and even highlighted as both Laura and him started to smile after a moment of staring.
They then nodded at each other after which Alexander spoke "Well that's that. Are we ready to go?♡" It was so casual that both Rogue and Jean almost ignored the absurdity of it all.
"What do you mean "That's that" nothing happened...don't we need her help? Dont we need to help her!?" -Rogue
"Mmn I'll help" -Laura
"....." -Rogue
Despite her confusion Rogue was quick to accept the situation as she saw Jean, Alexander and Laura having some form of mutual understanding, so she simply sighed and lightly pouted before nodding her head.
That earned her a small kiss as well as head pats which slightly surprised Laura.
Said surprise was acknowledged but also brushed aside as he started talking in a somewhat authoritative manner "Now then quick run down on things. We need your expertise as well as your nose, Laura. Two enemies one mind controlling and illusion creating the other....the other we'll worry about later as he can be extremely tricky to deal with."
Seeing her simply stare into Alexander's eyes before giving him a small nod caused everyone else there to smile.
The sight was something akin to seeing an adorable animal acting serious and mighty despite the fact that there was no way to see it as anything other than cute and precious.
However in this case the cute and precious little creature was also a wild, highly efficient, highly intelligent, immortal killing machine but potato potahto.
"Jason Stryker. Likely remotely controlled by his father William Stryker. Abilities like previously mentioned but he als-" he continued but was cut off by laura who finished his words "Has spinal fluid that can be used to control others."
Alexander wasn't entirely sure how to feel about her intense gaze and unexpected knowledge at the moment but seeing Jane strongly biting her own lip due to anger and sadness he connected the dots 'Ah was that her history, weapon X?'
Yet he simply scrubbed those thoughts out of his head "Correct. We haven't come to an agreement on how to proceed yet, but in my opinion our priority should be to figure out if the spinal fluid is in use and if not we should probably figure out how Jason is being controlled. Then if possible also obtain the location of William Stryker. "
He took a moment to dwell within his own thoughts and then looked at Jean and Rogue before hesitantly telling Laura some, in his opinion, vital information.
"Mistakes and brutality perfectly acceptable but I will update you on all previously attempted things and their results" those words spoken with a cold detached voice, one filled with determination and willingness to fully dismantle even innocents if need be, was somewhat unsettling yet also extremely understandable.
Both Jean and Rogue understood that technically none of this would exist and most likely case was that only Alexander would remember but all 3 of the girls present were good people and as such they felt uncomfortable but also thankful.
Laura didn't fully understand what he meant by all of his words but knew to trust Rogue and Jean. Also on top of that she has quite the grudge against Stryker and as such wasn't that bothered by the implications.
Seeing that all 3 of them were ready Alexander gestured for them to follow before simply walking out of the garage and towards the front door, which be had decided as their starting zone.
On the way there he wanted to explain himself and to make sure that neither Jean or Rogue would view him badly yet he also understood that this was in fact him.
Not pretty by any means but he had always cared about the effectiveness and efficiency of things far more than morals and as such 'Hopefully they'll....keep loving me...' he slowly regained his focus.

Also don't know when I'll be updating this because this is a hobby that i periodically participate in. Just happens that I decided to throw this here.
On top of that I have approximately a hundred recent stories that I'm "currently" writing and usually in a week I update bits and pieces to maybe 5 of those so apologies if you're looking forward to reading more of this.
Also while unlikely it's also not unrealistic that I'll simply vanish so if anyone wants to use this story idea of mine feel free to do so.
