Chapitre 50: Brunch

Exhausted from her tense meeting with Vlad Donovan, Robin walks through the grand entrance of her family's mansion.

She gives her bag to the waiting housekeeper, who greets her with a warm smile. "Welcome home, ma'am," Ruth says sweetly.

Robin gives the woman a worn smile, "Thank you." She replies sincerely.

But as Robin turns to make her way further inside, her gaze lands on a familiar figure standing at the base of the sweeping staircase.

Ramsey stands there in a black shirt with the buttons partially undone, the fabric accentuating his lean, muscular frame.

His dark slacks and polished shoes complete the picture of effortless sophistication. His eyes, however, hold a calculating gleam as he regards Robin.

"Ramsey," Robin says, blinking in surprise. "You're back."

A small smile tugs at the corners of Ramsey's lips. "I am." He agrees, before he pauses and gives her an obvious once-over.
