Klaus simply responded to Lord Rafael's words. He didn't want to give his family all the praises, saying he was from the Marshall would mean the Marshall were the one that discovered everything, and that wasn't what he wanted. 

He planned to give all the credit to the Wood family, including what he was doing here. 

The Emperor would drastically reward them, with that, Tessa would have no issues of getting married to save her family, the wood family would be an unstoppable force onward. 

Lord Rafael took a deep breath.

He wanted to confirm if Klaus was from any of the great five, but Klaus wasn't part of them. 

Killing an important person from the great five could cause the Rafael family a lot of troubles, but since Klaus wasn't, he could kill Klaus without any consequences.
