Chapitre 60: Chapter 60: Where is Lin?

Watching the Navy retreat step by step below and the united Whitebeard Pirates advancing, Sengoku stood on the execution platform, his face showing no emotion. The combat strength of the Whitebeard Pirates was indeed impressive, and with most of the Navy here being new recruits, this initial clash had unfolded as expected. Sengoku's gaze calmly surveyed the battlefield, focusing on Whitebeard.

First Division Commander Marco, Third Division Commander Jozu, and Sixteenth Division Commander Izo were all present. As Sengoku confirmed the presence of these key figures, his brow furrowed slightly. There was still one more division commander missing. "Where is Lin?" Sengoku suddenly realized the absence of the Seventeenth Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, Lin. Lin was not on the Moby Dick, nor was he anywhere in Marineford.

What was Whitebeard planning? Sengoku had heard rumors of Lin's strength. Sweeping through the ranks of the Whitebeard Pirates' division commanders was no small feat, showcasing his extraordinary power. If such a powerful individual was not brought to the forefront, wouldn't it waste such talent? Sengoku immediately clenched the Den Den Mushi in his hand, scanning Marineford for any trace of Lin.

Confirming that Lin was neither on the Moby Dick nor any other Whitebeard Pirates' ship, Sengoku issued a swift order: "Sentinel team, search for the Seventeenth Division Commander!" He was determined to uncover Whitebeard's plan for Lin of the Seventeenth Division. The battlefield was unpredictable, and Sengoku would not allow any unexpected developments on his watch.

Numerous sentries, already stationed on both sides of Marineford, responded promptly. They raised their binoculars from the watchtowers, scouring the area for any sign of Lin. Before long, information about the Seventeenth Division was relayed back to Sengoku.

"Report, Fleet Admiral, we haven't found Captain Lin, but the Seventeenth Division's fleet is currently guarding the rear of the Whitebeard Pirates!" a Navy sentry reported. Listening to the response over the Den Den Mushi, Sengoku turned his gaze to the rear of the Whitebeard Pirates. There, a lone ship floated quietly on the sea.

"Whitebeard, are you planning to leave yourself a retreat?" Sengoku mused. This was the only explanation that fit his current assumption. Having an admiral-level combat force and not using it could only mean Whitebeard was planning a strategic withdrawal. Outside the Gates of Justice, hundreds of warships were poised to strike. With a single order, those warships could quickly encircle the rear of the Whitebeard Pirates and commence bombardment.

Sengoku's face remained cold and expressionless. "Pass the order, any movement from the Seventeenth Division must be reported to me immediately!" he commanded. "Yes, sir!" the sentry responded promptly.

After dealing with the Seventeenth Division, Sengoku turned his attention back to overseeing the battle at Marineford. Whenever troops were insufficient at a certain point, he dispatched additional units to reinforce them. Despite the bravery and ferocity of the Whitebeard Pirates, their numbers were less than thirty thousand. In contrast, Marineford was defended by a hundred thousand elite Navy soldiers and thousands of warships ready for action. With ample manpower and resources, a prolonged battle played into the Navy's absolute advantage.

"Want to fight? We'll fight to the end!" Sengoku resolved.

On the Moby Dick, Marco observed the Navy, who had been holding out for a long time, with a slightly darkened expression. The Whitebeard Pirates had gained the upper hand, but this advantage was only temporary. The Navy resisted stubbornly, and no matter how fiercely the pirates attacked, they couldn't break through the Navy's defenses. At that moment, Marco realized he needed to act.

With his dead fish eyes, Marco's gaze fell on Ace on the execution platform. Their goal was to rescue Ace. As long as they could successfully bring Ace out, all problems would be solved. Just as Marco was contemplating his next move, one of the three Admirals, Kizaru, also focused his gaze on Whitebeard.

"At least I should make a move, to not look like I'm slacking off!" Kizaru uncrossed his standard Admiral pose and stood up. This action caught Akainu's attention, a rare look of surprise flashing in his eyes. He didn't expect Kizaru, who usually liked to slack off, to actually prepare for battle. The sun must be rising from the west!

"Well then, to capture the leader first, let's start with you, Whitebeard!" Kizaru locked his gaze on Whitebeard. Although he liked to slack off, he recognized this as one of the few opportunities in his life to challenge the world's strongest man. As a strong man, how could he miss it?

Kizaru half-squatted, then leaped into the air, appearing in the sky. At his fingertips, a yellow light appeared. Arms crossed, Kizaru's sly face wore a smile: "Yasakani no Magatama!!"

Yasakani no Magatama, a wide-range attack of the Pika Pika no Mi, looked dense and dazzling but was mostly ineffective. However, if hit by Yasakani no Magatama, the impact was devastating! Kizaru crossed his arms and, without any hesitation, activated the Pika Pika no Mi. Tens of thousands of yellow beams swept towards Whitebeard on the Moby Dick.

The moment Kizaru moved, Whitebeard sensed the commotion from the execution platform. "Gurarararara!" he laughed. "Even the third kid couldn't hold back?" Whitebeard's indifferent gaze swept over Kizaru. The first kid was Aokiji, the second kid was Mihawk, and the third kid was, of course, Kizaru in front of him!

"Come, let me test your Gura Gura no Mi's power!" Kizaru said calmly.
