Chapitre 87: The fate without an end

"They are not stopping, sire," Ugward reported in a cautious voice, not daring to turn his head and look towards the lord's cage as he reported in. 

"There should be no other lords on the move in this part of the road…" The lord's voice was as beautiful and enchanting as it was filled with power. 

It wasn't everyday for one of the very few demonic lords to stoop as low as to travel with their retinue through the mundane road. And it was even rarer for them to move through the military paths rather than the much wider and more comfortable public roads. 

But with the war with the humans brewing, not even the demon lords dared to disrespect the demon king's decree of preserving the small folk. 

As such, as uncomfortable as this sort of travel was, Ugward's lord ended up putting up with all of this discomfort, all for the sake of following the demon king's expressed commands.
