(Dante POV)
In an instant, a flash of light and a wave of nausea hit me, and I opened my eyes to see Aether cooking a couple of Sweet Madame while Paimon floated nearby, drooling comically.
"Yo!" I called out to the duo.
"Ah!!!" With a startled scream, Paimon swiftly moved towards Aether's back before she turned around to face me.
Finding the emergency food's action cute, I chuckled, making the little fairy angry.
With an indignant stomp in mid-air, the floating emergency food exclaimed, "You! Why do you have to scare Paimon like that? Do you want me to give you a nasty nickname?!"
"Perhaps," I replied in a nasal tone while tilting my head back and raising my arms, fingers interlaced.
"What's with that weird pose?! Are you mocking Paimon?" With another angry mid-air stomp, she continued to grumble.
"Alright, Paimon, stop making a fuss. The food is ready." With a slightly amused tone, Aether called out to his little companion.
Upon hearing such delightful words, Paimon's mood instantly brightened.
She eagerly stretched out her little arms to take the plate Aether was holding.
Settling onto a nearby tree stump, she began munching on the freshly cooked Sweet Madame with a contented smile.
"Want some?" Aether asked, raising another plate and offering it to me.
"Sure, thanks!" I replied, taking the plate of food and settling down on a stone opposite him.
But just as I was about to dig into the freshly cooked Sweet Madame, I remembered the stash of food I had in my inventory.
Pulling out my phone, I retrieved three Big Macs, three Large Twister Fries, three 20-piece Chicken Nuggets, three McFlurries, three Mapo Tofus, and a 1.5-liter container of Coke.
Paimon's attention was immediately captured as I began to pull out food after food, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
With a warm smile, I offered a portion of the feast to Aether and another to Paimon, who eagerly accepted with a grateful nod.
The atmosphere was cozy as we savored each dish, exchanging laughs and small talk, making our meal together truly enjoyable and memorable.

"Ah, I'm stuffed," Paimon muttered lazily as she floated around.
"You know what? You're pretty good! Paimon approves of you! What's your name, anyway?" Paimon asked curiously.
"You can simply call me Dante," I replied with an amused smile, watching the lazy fairy float about.
"Alright, Dante, since you fed Paimon so well, I won't give you a nasty nickname anymore," Paimon said triumphantly.
"Anyways, I'm going to take a little nap now. See you later Traveler, you too Dante!" With a wave of her hands, Paimon then disappeared as she turned into specks of starlight.
As the little fairy departed, my blindfolded eyes met Aether's gaze.
"Now that little Paimon is gone, let's get down to serious business," I remarked, while I drank the leftover Coke straight from the bottle.
"Before we delve into the mission specifics, I must inquire: what has brought about this change in your appearance? It noticeably differs from the image you shared with us in the group chat," Aether asked, his curiosity piqued.
"This is simply a skin, a function in the inventory. You will only unlock the function when you obtain a skin or an outfit set on the Gacha." With a shrug, I deactivated the skin for a few seconds before activating it once again.
"I see, having the ability to change appearance is advantageous for undercover missions and similar tasks. It's indeed a useful feature," Aether nodded in agreement.
After a brief silence, Aether read out the Missions, "Curing Dvalin's Madness, Joining the Adventurers Guild, Returning the Holy Lyre undamaged, Obtaining the Gnosis."
"Joining the Adventurers Guild and making sure the Holy Lyre is undamaged is not hard," I said matter-of-factly.
"Curing Dvalin should be an easy task. Unless Dvalin's Anemo control is of Epic Quality—which I doubt, since 'Epic' belongs in the realm of gods—he won't be able to break out of my spatial manipulation. I can easily restrain him while you purify the blood spikes, ensuring a smooth resolution. The problem is only when to do so." I added.
"What do you mean by when?" Aether asked.
"Well, what part of the plot are you now? I see you have stuff like pots, plates, and glasses in your inventory so that means you already visited a village or a city." I inquired.
"The tableware was a reward granted to me by the villagers of Calla Lily after aiding them in repelling some slimes and hilichurls. It was the first place Paimon and I arrived at after leaving the beach where I awoke," Aether muttered.
"After leaving the village, we ventured into the forest where we unexpectedly stumbled upon the scene where Venti was in conversation with Dvalin," Aether added, meeting my gaze with a knowing look.
"Now, following the guidance of the village elder from Calla Lily Village, we are on our way to Cecilla Village, with Mondstadt City as our next destination," Aether stated, finishing his explanation.
"So it's still early in the plot, huh? Since you've already encountered Venti and Dvalin, the next scenes involving Dvalin will likely be his attack on Mondstadt, the encounter on the cliff after summoning him with the lyre, and eventually confronting him in his lair." With a nod, I scratched my chin.
"If we want to finish the Holy Lyre sub-quest, we will rule out curing him when he attacked Mondstadt," I muttered.
"We'll either confront him on the cliff or face him in his lair," Aether replied with a nod.
"About the Gnosis, we either take it from Venti or steal it after Rosalie takes it from Venti." I then replied.
After a few moments of silence, we nodded at each other, signaling the end of our discussion.
"Besides selecting this world for its short duration, do you have strategies in mind for enhancing your strength here?" Aether inquired, fully aware of the perilous nature of my current situation.
"There are indeed a few things I have in mind," I answered.
"After a lot of time thinking, I decided that the main objective is to acquire a complete set of artifacts to equip my accessory slots and explore methods to gain elemental powers. Mastering the seven elemental forces and potentially tapping into abyssal energy would be a significant help in the future," With a thoughtful expression, I told Aether my idea.
