Lu Jinsheng got up early in the morning and sneakily slipped out. When he passed by the yard, he was stunned by the strawberries grown on the shelves, layer upon layer, in the yard.
The fruits, red and glistening with dew, looked like art pieces against the backdrop of green leaves, enough to whet anyone's appetite with just one glance.
Lu Jinsheng paused, reached out to pick several strawberries, and without washing them, popped them directly into his mouth. The sweet fragrance of the strawberries made him close his eyes in enjoyment. If it weren't for the fear of his mother discovering him and stopping him from leaving the house, he reckoned he could stand there and gorge himself before departing.
Delicious food is certainly valuable, but freedom is priceless.
