Chapitre 5: Completing high school and accelerated magic learning
After 5 days...
Catherine went to the department of education and paid lots of money to get Jason's testing done 4 days ago.
Today, two examiners came from the department of education and gave 3 tests. Elementary, middle, and high.
Jason finished all the theoretical tests in just 3 hours. It took 2 more hours for practical testing as the practical examiner came later.
Jason, who had a lot of chemistry and physics knowledge, aced the practical parts.
As soon as the tests were done and the examiners left, Catherine asked, "How did you do?"
"I've aced it." said Jason.
"Great. Let's wait till the end of the day for the results." said Catherine excitedly.
Her excitement stems mostly from the fact that Jason can focus on the magical side of education rather than the muggle side.
Jason's thoughts were similar but he was adamant on one thing. Since he has 4 years, he wanted to finish the 4 years of magic education in 1 year and join Gotham University for a 2-year literature course.
He knows it is possible with the help of a system that completely sends knowledge into his head and imprints it on his body.
"Mom, I'll be training my body till evening. So, I'll be in my room. Please don't disturb me." said Jason.
Catherine replied, "Very well. I won't stop you after I learn what happened in your previous life. Actually, before you enroll in any magic school of your choice, I will be teaching you how to fight with magic."
Jason replied, "Cool. It would be helpful against the crooks of both Gotham and the wizarding world. Since there will be a month of time before school, everyday combat training will help me if I were to find myself in a pickle."
Jason locked the door as he entered and entered the capsule. He finished the daily quest and got stats for INT and CHARM.
He started feeling the affects of Occlumancy training as he was able to make some weak shields during these 5 days of training.
At the end of the day he checked the stats and level of skills.

He saw only two skills have undergone a change in the status window. Magic control and occlumancy.
The remaining were still the same, with no changes. He was mostly concentrating on magic theory and magic control now. He knew that 11 year old kids in Hogwarts don't put much focus on Magic theory and control, but he knows better than anyone that a foundation built on solid basics can be a threat to many powerful enemies.
In American magic education, divination is the last most optional subject, that's the reason Nancy brought other books and ignored divination. Jason felt she did the right thing because he is not willing to put weight on future prophecies, which may be true or false.
Jason did know about the prophecy uttered by Trelawney about Harry and Voldemort. But sadly, he is not the type of person to believe that a child can defeat the Dark Lord. In the movies he saw, Harry wasn't trained to fight the dark lord.
To Dumbledore, he was just a sacrifice that needed to be made in the last minute to defeat Voldemort. He definitely felt pity for Harry Potter in that aspect.
In the evening...
A parcel was delivered to the penthouse. Jason and Catherine sat on the sofa together and opened the parcel obtained from the Department of education.
There was a letter congratulating Jason and also a certificate indicating the completion of high school.
"You've done great, Jason. I am really proud of you," said Catherine hugging him.
"Thanks, Mom," replied Jason, hugging back.
Catherine stopped hugging and asked, "So, what will you do next? Will you be solely concentrating on magic or will you attend college?"
"For 1 year, I want to solely concentrate on magic education. After 1 year, I'll join the literature course offered by Gotham University." replied Jason.
"Hmm? Literature?" asked Catherine.
"I've wanted to pursue it in previous life but I died before I could do that." said Jason.
Catherine nodded and said, "How about the Business and Literature course for 3 years, huh?"
Jason understood what Catherin was trying to do. She wants Jason to inherit Todd Financials.
Honestly it's not a problem but he is not too much into business. But having companies under him has benefits.
"Fine Mom. But I am not interested in day-to-day operations. You can hire talented employees in the future to inherit your position, while I'll only be a shareholder of the company," said Jason.
"I won't force you, Jason. But I at least want make sure you are part of the company." said Catherine.
"I understand. I'll be attending the dual course for 3 years after 1 year." said Jason.
Catherine left for office when Jason asked "System, let's speed up with our progress in magic."
"Ver well host. Go to you magic books. I'll imprint the knowledge into your brain and body."
Jason did not do it until now to avoid suspicions, but since he proved that he is a genius to his mother. There is no need to hold back.
He scanned the books for entire 4 years within 10 minutes and they got imprinted into his body and brain. Though, the books did not disappear. He saw that Charms, Transfiguration, Herbology, Potions and DADA increased to Level 3. Ancient Runes, Arithmancy and Artificing were in Level 2.
He has all the theoretical part for first four years covered in his brain now. "Let's begin the practical part of magic." muttered Jason.
"Lumos" uttered Jason spreading his palm and controlling his magic.
A medium bright light appeared in his hand. "Great. This much in first attempt."
The ministries may place trace on wands, but wandless magic does not alert the ministry. Only accidental magic and misuse of magic are alerted to the ministries. Catherine even told him that American magical world isn't that much closed off than Britain.
He did get that impression because there is Constantine, Zatanna and other people roaming among the normal populace and people don't even know they are real mages.
He tried to increase the output of lighting charm and increased the input. He imagined a circuit board where the amount of input applied decides the amount of output.
He increased the amount of magical energy in a small amount to not lose control and said "Lumos".
The light which came from his palm is as bright as a standard Lumos spell mentioned in the Charms textbook.

Jason was surprised on hearing the reward which he obtained.
"That's the best skill that I can have right now. This will help in dealing with dark wizards, Untitled or any other form of threats. Thank you, system" said Jason.

He saw that he lost 80 MP. "Energy consumption is pretty high. I need to increase the level of Magic Control so that I can cast powerful spells with very less amount of MP." thought Jason.
The next moment he put those thoughts aside and cast Lumos two more times. He imagined and changed the color of the light to red, green, blue etc. He also sent the little ball flying draining a bit of MP.
Next he began with Levitation Charm. There was steel jug on the table. With immense concentration, he uttered "Wingardium Leviosa".
The jug kept Levitating up to 15 meters and fell down onto the table again. "Too much energy input. I need to decrease the amount of magic." thought Jason.
He concentrated again and decreased the input and again uttered the spell name. With right amount of energy he was easily able to control the levitation of Jug this time.
He moved onto "Nox", Light extinguishing spell. He was careful with fire making spell "Incendio".
He only lit small portions at first with very low input and slowly kept on increasing the input every time and the flame kept on getting bigger until it became the size of standard dueling spell.
After that he performed "Spongify", "Alohomora" and "Colloportus" on different objects. He could perform further spells because his MP is at 15/ 1200.
"That was fun. But I'll be concentrating on increasing magic control to Level 5 during this entire week. That way I can cast spells without depleting too much Mana." thought Jason.
[Host should get enough rest along side training for more beneficial results]
"Sure. I'll not push myself to the limits like those crazy martial artists. I wish to have a proper balance of training and fun unlike my previous life." replied Jason.
His mother arrived at night and after having a dinner he went to take a lot of rest.
For the next three months his routine involved training his skills, magical study and silent practical sessions.
He has reached Level 2 in Charms, Transfiguration , Potions , Herbology and DADA. He has finished the first year curriculum in just three months. His Occlumancy is Level 3 now.

"Looks like I need to acquire guns secretly and take a trip to Gotham cemetery for my Spirit Sorcery. If I don't do that my skills keep on increasing but my overall level won't." said Jason.
He made plans to acquire guns and also for harvesting souls that day.
