Chapitre 3: Entering the Gate Alone
The swarms of spider monsters, though only the size of cats and dogs, possessed potent venom and sharp fangs. Moreover, their speed was so fast that ordinary people stood no chance against them.
Not far away, a man fell while running, and a spider chasing him bit off his leg in a single bite.
The man screamed in fear and pain, but his screams were abruptly cut off the next second as the spider devoured his head with its gaping maw.

The potent neurotoxin instantly overwhelmed its central nervous system.
John continued to slash fiercely, finding the snake venom-mixed potion incredibly effective. He no longer aimed to kill the Giant Jaw Wolf Spiders with a single strike. A slight wound was enough for the toxin to finish them off.
A few seconds later,
the Giant Jaw Wolf Spiders surrounding John were all struck down, poisoned to death, and lay grotesquely on the ground, lifeless.

In the dim path ahead, eight more Giant Jaw Wolf Spiders sprinted towards John.
John dived into a narrow cave. The entrance was too small for the spiders to swarm in together, easily breaking the siege.
The witless Giant Jaw Wolf Spiders were one by one killed by John's poisoned blade.
In just a few minutes, John pushed their bodies aside and walked out of the cave, black blood dripping from him, looking like a god of death.
