Chapter 34: The Well-Behaved Hufflepuffs

Chapter 34: The Well-Behaved Hufflepuffs

"Rita Skeeter? That reporter from the Daily Prophet?" Fred asked with a puzzled look, "What does this have to do with her?"

George added, "And we're not interested in her, she's destined to have a one-sided crush."

"That's a pity." Kyle didn't continue the topic, he just made a perfunctory remark and walked through the two of them.

Lunch had already started at this time, and Kyle just wanted to sit there and enjoy the tender steak and pumpkin juice, not stand at the entrance of the Great Hall like an idiot.

However, Fred and George didn't think so, they followed Kyle all the way to the Hufflepuff table.

"Although there's no evidence, I always feel that it's because you're here that the Charms classroom blew up."

Fred squeezed Cedric away and sat next to Kyle. He casually grabbed a glass of pumpkin juice and took a big gulp before continuing, "Otherwise, why did nothing happen before, and as soon as you came, something like this happened? It must be your influence."

Hearing this, Kyle only felt a weight on his bac and almost choked on the pumpkin juice.

What do you mean? What did he do? He had been helping all along, okay? Do they ly have to blame him for this?

Kyle turned his head and gave them the middle finger without saying a word.

But Fred turned a blind eye to this and continued talking to himself, "It's a pity you're not in Gryffindor."

"We asked around." George laughed, "Gryffindor's first class for freshmen was Potions. If you were there, with the cooperation of the freshmen, Snape would like to be the one in the school hospital."

"Yeah, it's such a pity." Fred put down the pumpkin juice in his hand and said with regret, "If you could send Snape to the school hospital, you would become the hero of Gryffin... no, the whole of Hogwarts!"

Fred didn't know what he was thinking, but his face, which had just been full of regret, suddenly became excited, and his whole body was trembling.

Because he was too excited, Fred didn't even notice that Cedric was secretly tugging at his robe.

"Seriously, Kyle, I still think you shouldn't be in Hufflepuff, Gryffindor is your real home."

"Let's just say you're right, but, Fred, George..." Kyle suddenly cleared his throat and said with a smile, "Why do you think Gryffindor freshmen would cooperate with me against Professor Snape?

In my opinion, the little wizards of Gryffindor are all very polite and speak nicely, and the dean is also kind, they wouldn't be so... well, unruly."

"What nonsense are you talking about, Kyle? Would obedient, honest children be sorted into Gryffindor?" Fred was stunned for a moment, then raised his eyebrows, "Oh right, we can't say that, we should say that we just like adventure..."

"So... Mr. Weasleys, is this why you're not eating at your house table?"

A cold, emotionless voice came from behind.

The smiles on Fred and George's faces disappeared at once, and they turned their heads with difficulty to look behind them.

"Professor McGonagall, when did you arrive..." Fred pulled out a smile uglier than crying and said dryly, "That, I think you must have misunderstood something, I can explain."

"No need, Mr. Weasley, I think I can fully understand what you are saying, and there will be no misunderstanding. And you should be glad that I am standing here instead of Professor Snape."

Professor McGonagall's face was calm, and it seemed that she was no different from usual. "Ten points from Gryffindor for disrespecting the professor, ten points each."

Fortunately, it was just a deduction of points.

Fred and George breathed a sigh of relief. It was still early in the school year, and Gryffindor's hourglass was still very rich. It was only twenty points, which was acceptable.

"Also..." Professor McGonagall glanced at the twins and continued, "Given your poor performance at the Sorting Ceremony, you two will be detained every night for the next week."

Fred and George were struck by lightning.

The Sorting Ceremony? They thought that was over...

They didn't care about the point deduction, but the detention was different, let alone being detained for a week in a row, not being able to go out at night for seven days, this was simply killing them!

The two of them were already starting to despair.

"Professor, please..."

Fred and George looked at Professor McGonagall pitifully, trying to awaken the pity in her heart in this way.

Unfortunately, Professor McGonagall didn't buy it at all, and even her tone of voice didn't fluctuate in the slightest:

"Detention starts at eleven o'clock at night, go find Filch, he will take you to the trophy room. There is a roster there, which records the names and deeds of all the outstanding students since the establishment of Gryffindor.

You need to copy this roster in its entirety until it is finished. Remember, one copy per person, and no magic or quick-quotes quill, all by hand."

After Professor McGonagall finished speaking, she pointed in the direction of Gryffindor and said, "Now, Mr. Weasleys, hurry back to your table!"

Fred and George were struck by lightning and walked back to their seats at the Gryffindor table with their heads down, their faces full of despair.

Kyle also lowered his head, trying hard not to laugh out loud, until the twins left, he turned his head as if nothing had happened and said, "Good afternoon, Professor McGonagall, it's nice to see you here."

Professor McGonagall's voice finally fluctuated a little, and she replied, "Good afternoon, Mr. Chopper."

"Just call me Kyle, Professor." Kyle smiled, "Have you had lunch yet? If not, have come here."

Cedric also reacted at this time, and hurriedly moved to the side again, making room for a spacious enough space.

Professor McGonagall's expression softened a little, and she said, "I would love to, but unfortunately I've already eaten."

To maintain her dignified persona, Professor McGonagall usually came to the Great Hall during meal times or stayed directly in her office, and rarely ate with the little wizards.

"That's really unfortunate." Kyle sighed softly, and the other little badgers also cooperated by showing disappointed expressions, as if they wanted to have dinner with Professor McGonagall at the same table.

All well-behaved.

Professor McGonagall looked at the scene in front of her and then compared it with the chaotic Gryffindor table next door, a feeling of exhaustion suddenly came over her.

There is no harm without comparison.

Why were all the good kids in other houses, especially Kyle and Cedric, even if one of them was sorted into Gryffindor, it would be good.

This damn Sorting Hat...
