Chapitre 82: Monster

Anger jolted through every part of Saul as he noticed that Madeline looked at him without fear and grabbed his hand. But he didn't let the anger show on his face; instead, he regarded her with one of his most beautiful smiles. "I told you, I am a friend of Draven's. Isn't that answer enough?" he raised an eyebrow at her.

Madeline still did not let go of his hand. There was no way she was going to allow some stranger to touch her husband; he could be a dangerous individual claiming to know Draven. "I do not trust you," she blurted out to his face, not caring how those words might affect him. Even if he truly was Draven's friend, she believed it was better to be cautious than sorry later.

Saul took her hands off him and shifted back. Her tiny hand had surprisingly gripped tightly on him, and it wasn't as soft as any other woman's hand he had felt; she was indeed a blacksmith herself.
