///////////////

Moving through the shadows of canopies along the outskirts of Tempest's borders I reminisced on the killing I had just conducted not a day before. As ordered by Silviana-sama I had followed the merchants in their travels, their path unconventional and obviously misleading. Many of them partook in perverted gatherings and orgies before slowly gathering and heading to the east. It was the dumbest move they had ever made.

At the time I was under orders to kill them if they head east, I didn't understand the specific reason why, but orders were orders and Silviana always seemed to understand when something was necessary. The noises they made as their throats were cut, the smells of urine and faeces when they literally shit themselves at the unstoppable claws of death hung distinctly within my mind. Slinking into another shadow the sounds of birds and nature slowly died off, the hilly terrain near to Dwargon beginning to root itself along my path. Pine trees replaced the oak and spruce trees of Jura as the sun was beginning to set in the distance. Purples and pinks danced delightfully in the sky as clouds were illuminated with cherry blossom-like hues.

Swooping to another shadow in seconds I traversed several kilometres, the sounds of nature all dying out as an eerie quiet seemingly smothered the entire floor of the forest. I narrowed my eyes as my kunai entered into my hands, the sword at my waist swaying just slightly as no noise was now projected outward within several kilometres of space. Then as if in direct opposition to my lack of movement I heard the faint rumblings of shifting stone.

CRACK

A part of a nearby hill was flattened in an instant as a spell took affect, many undead slowly rising from out of the soil of said hill, their appearance skeletal and sopping with rancid flesh. I remained completely still, my stance ready for any form of combat within any moment. Combat never came however as the noises of undead slowly flittered beneath me, moving towards the location where the Human army had started to invade Jura from. At first I was worried I had stumbled upon a secret plan of Silviana's design but that thought was crushed as a familiar figure with small wings along her back grasped a staff in both hands, her breasts surrounding the rod of said staff as black light poured out of her and towards the recently flattened hillock.

More undead rose, seemingly conjured from nothing but magicules and earth. The magic was odd and vile, the constructs being little more than nuisances for normal people let alone powerful persons such as myself or Silviana. The one aspect that made me cautious however was the black bulbous liquids that oozed along their bones and forms, pooling into tar-like sludge beneath every step they took.

'They are interfering again... I must get to Rimuru faster, once he becomes involved we will have two people of immense power to ward off against these two factions...'

In desperate speed I reached further out with my shadow-step ability, lunging several kilometres away at once. At first it was difficult, the process strenuous and damaging in some minor ways. I knew however that If I did not reach Rimuru sooner than there is a likelihood for death to occur amongst the citizens of Tempest. As it is we were lucky that the Humans were focussing entirely on the Capital of Tempest and not the outlying cities and towns. A whizzing sound shot out from behind me as something of immense speed obliterated an entire tree branch, fire curling up the sides of the tree as the projectile continued into another tree. Forest fires aside, this meant I was detected and would be caught if I did not flee. Pulling my katana free I vanished into distant shadows once more, the projectile following me as I slashed down at it with my blade.

A desperate metallic screeching sound blared out as steel met steel, the projectile being a small cylindrical shape of metallic forging. My blade deflected said bullet but was damaged somewhat in the attempt, the blade slightly curving inwards as magical enchantment had met magical enchantment. This was now getting dangerous and I did not wish to stay any longer lest their entire faction come to hunt me down. Jumping to another tree in the distance I quickly went to another, then another, to another, until I was such a distance away I highly doubted that they could catch up to me easily. Still I did not squirm away from using my powers overly as I continued to vanish in the direction of Dwargon, my destination now barely a few hours away by this stage.

"Silviana-sama, please hold out until Rimuru and the others return..."

...

CZ2128 Delta stared into the distance, her bright green eye zooming in on the vanishing figure as their form faded away and disappeared. In her hands was a weapon similar to the guns Silviana herself had made but of a completely different design, one that seemed to be from science fiction. Her Orange hair flowed out behind her face and eyepatch as the wind gracefully fluttered it back and forth.

Relinquishing her aim on the target she returned the weapon to its holster on her back, the metallic dress and maid uniform clanking with the smooth movements she made. Beside her was a woman with red hair gathered in a twin-tail hair style. This woman's maid outfit was just as perfect looking as Delta's as in her hands was a massive glaive with silver filigree and carvings of small skulls along the tang line of her weapon's blade.

"Ahhh, we lost him! What a drag..."

"Target possesses extreme skill in the blade and shadow-based movement. Impossible for us to catch him."

"You're no fun...! Come on, we totally could have~!" Delta turned to look at her comrade, companion, person she worked with, zero expression on her face except the slight narrowing of her singular visible eye.

"My analysis is not inaccurate."

Flabbergasted by her companion's serious attitude in this matter Lupusregina shrugged whilst sighing, her own expression becoming thoughtful as she began to decide on whether she should report this. Gradually she came to the conclusion that the event was so small and insignificant that it was best not to annoy Ainz with this small issue. With her path decided she and CZ2128 Delta turned around and began walking back to their temporary base, Delta unconcerned about the silence that was maintained for a few moments.

"Do you think we'll get some benefit from this plan of Albedo's Delta?" Lupus asked with a rather intrigued tone in her voice, her eyes casting themselves over the constant outpour of undead from Albedo's efforts.

"Currently we do not have enough data to successfully conclude an outcome. Based upon the scale of Albedo-sama's plan, chance of success lies anywhere between 10% to 90% of working."

"So basically you don't know..."

"If, 'So basically you don't know' ,dictates that I am not certain, than that would be accurate. Certainty is false, there is only probability."

Lupusregina sighed once more as they both travelled into the base camp for their activities. The base was filled with movements that were cloaked from hearing with a spell granted to Albedo by Ainz, the sight of several golems and other species walking around and placing small black seeds of some description.

"You are no fun Delta..."

"I wasn't made for 'fun'."

"You were, killing is fun!"

"I disagree, killing is necessary, not emotional."

"Ughhhh, so robotic!"

"I am an Automaton, not a robot."

"Seriously...!?"

"Yes."

The two continued to walk as their banter slowly drained from the outside of the spell's influence until all sound was completely muffled and squashed. Not a peep was heard from this part of the forest except the slow, wet, noises of undead moving quietly beneath the canopies of the trees.
