Seung leaned back on the hospital bed, a comfortable silence filling the room as his casual tone blended with Eunji's more blunt manner. Their conversation flowed naturally, the hum of machinery from his healing bed barely noticeable in the background. Just as Seung was about to respond to something Eunji had said, his phone buzzed, interrupting the calm moment. He glanced at it, seeing the caller ID flash—Song Jiwon.

He smiled to himself. It had been a while since he'd heard from her, and he felt a small pang of guilt for not checking in. He swiped to accept the call and lifted the phone to his ear.

"Hey, Jiwon, how have you been?" Seung's voice was casual, but there was warmth behind it.
