Chapitre 35: Chapter 35 Decision 2/2

A few hours later, Meemaw arrived at the hospital by taxi to pick us up.

When we got home, we went straight to our respective beds. Knowing that George could recover from his current condition in a few days relieved the atmosphere in the house.

But for some reason, I feel like I'm forgetting something...

In Missy's room, Sheldon struggled and grunted for help, while Missy looked at him with a mischievous smile of happiness.

Late at night in the garage, voices could be heard back and forth.

"Connor, I'm so happy to stay at your house these days. I've felt more excitement this month than in my 10 years living with my parents. Thank you so much," Paige said as she sat on the mattress of the bed facing me, who was lying on the bed.

"You're welcome. After all, it's my duty as a host to provide fun moments for you," I said as I looked at her.

After pondering for a while and releasing a long sigh, Paige said, "Connor, I accept. I want to follow you, I want to know what will change my worldview as you said to me."

My movements stagnate; I really didn't expect this topic to come up now at this moment. I was caught totally off guard, but I quickly calmed down and said, "Are you sure? Have you thought about it? I don't want to force you into anything."

After a while of pondering, despite not knowing what it was about, she trusted Connor and knew he wouldn't harm her. Then she nodded in agreement while quietly saying, "Uh-huh."

"OK, wait for me here, I'll be right back." As soon as I leave the garage.

Paige's POV

"OK, wait for me here, I'll be right back." As soon as Connor leaves the garage and leaves me alone in his room, I find myself wondering what this worldview subversion he told me about would be. I couldn't help but be curious about it, but what's the point of thinking if he won't show me anymore?

As I was thinking about it, the lights in the garage went out, leaving me in total darkness, only the pale glow of the moon invaded the windows and shone on the floor. I couldn't help but say, "Connor? Is that you?"

Voice - Omen [SUBBED] | VALORANT English

"Are you scared, little one?" I hear a ghostly voice in my ears, which I quickly look around for but see nothing. I couldn't help but feel shivers down my spine, a voice that seemed to come from the deepest layer of hell.

"Who?" I quickly say, looking from side to side, fear already consuming me, sweat dripping from my forehead due to the unknown situation. I couldn't help but grab the blanket and cover myself.

"I sense fear in your voice, little girl. Hehehe," the voice speaks again. "I like your voice, it seems delicious, hehehehe," the voice speaks again. I peek my head out of the covers and try to find the origin of the voice.

I look from side to side, and my eyes widen; a distinct shadow approaches the moonlight, I could feel its heavy steps, my breathing started to become heavy with fear, and I could hear that evil laugh, resonating throughout the entire garage even though the figure was in front of me.

Half of the figure walks into the moonlight, revealing part of the silhouette, a man with a black hood covering the upper half of his head, only leaving his lips that raised a slight malicious smile, his clothing camouflaged in the darkness made it hard to distinguish, and the silhouette approaches me and puts his hand on my chin and says.

"Why so serious?" says the voice as it holds me, I could feel his breath close to my mouth.

Soon the voice speaks in a mocking and playful tone, "Paige, Paige, I thought you'd be braver."

My voice trembles with fear, but I still ask the ghostly voice, "Coo..nnor?"

I see the silhouette give a genuine smile on his face, and he says, "Correct, but you won't gain anything," and then he takes off the hood, revealing a familiar face that I knew so well, his dark black hair like the night, his sky-blue eyes that you could get lost in if you looked for too long, a familiar face.

"Connor, how?" I ask, dissipating the fear that originally consumed me with confusion. How was he doing this? And what was that voice that could cause fear just by hearing it?

"That, for now, I can't tell you," he says with that voice.

Connor's POV

I really wanted to playfully scare her, but I didn't think it would be this much, but oh well, she'd better adapt quickly. I decisively say to her,

"Paige, you've joined me, there's no turning back from your choice, you're now part of the Creed."

At this moment, Confused Paige starts asking questions; sometimes I would answer, sometimes I couldn't answer. But then I change the subject.

"Paige, what do you think of Princeton? It's close to New York, and we might be able to make friends with Leonard if we meet him. What do you think?" I say still with that ghostly voice.

"Um, first, could you switch back to your normal voice? This one still gives me chills," Paige says with an uncomfortable tone.

I quickly blend into the darkness and return with my normal voice. "Better?" I ask her jokingly.

"Much better," says Paige nodding her head and then adds, "Princeton, maybe, actually sounds good. They have physics, mathematics, and other interesting things there, seems cool."

I say cheerfully to her, "Then it's settled, we're going to Princeton."
